Looks like DN6 is just a made up commercial name for the steel. I wonder what actual steel it is. This is common in the bike industry where they like to make up names for components or materials to make them sound better than they are. Dahon's Dalloy is another example. The bike seems quite light for steel at 10.6kg so I would take with a pinch of salt the claim of 'fatigue endurance' if they are implying the frame is built to last. Triple butting means thin sections in the tubing and with steel corrosion over time is most likely to eat through the thin sections of such tubing and with a gravel bike a few accidents will put stresses on the frame not designed for that could add extra stress to those thin sections. The type of steel frames that go on for decades are plain gauge tubes.

DN6 is an in-joke from their former designer Brant Richards. The original postcode for the PX HQ started DN6. The tubing meets the specs for Reynolds 5xx tubing but PX decide not to pay the licence that allows the use of the Reynolds 500/520/525 sticker. It's 4130 CrMo so tough as old boots in this post CEN crash testing world.
IMHO you are seriously overstating the risk from butted steel rusting away. (edited)

The Rival derailleur isn't the best. I've had two bikes that have come with it. The spring on it is pretty weak so unless your cable and everything is perfectly clean and well routed it really struggles to change to the smaller cogs after a while.

Had this problem with my SRAM force... Regularly need to change gear cable and housing because it sticks. Never had this issue with any Shimano groupset.

Sure it'll be fine on a road bike, but gravel when you're expecting it to get dirty just keeps clogging

Under a grand for today (by a penny).

It's not going to rust out, and triple butted steels can last for years. If you crash it headlong into something unmovable, the strong forks will transfer the force to the frame, bending the top and down tube. This will write the frame off, but avoid that and it should last. DN6 in itself is a meaningless name, but the tubing is a standard Taiwan made Chromo

The derailleur is fine, just keep it reasonably clean and lubricated. I've done loads of miles with a Force derailleur (pretty much identical to the Rival) and it changes perfectly.

Point about the wheels is fair enough. The Fulcrums are OK, but they are a bit heavy. The bike would really benefit from a wheel upgrade, which would cost from about £350. If you sold the Fulcrums, I'd guess you'd only get £100 for them even if unused, given how cheaply they get sold off for. Still, a nice gravel bike for a resulting £1250 is OK.

More than £1,000 for a push bike, somebody is having a laugh.

But you told people on an EV deal to spend a bit more than on a £25k VW to get a better car. Someone is having a laugh.

Edit. You seem to say this about every bike deal. I don't understand expensive watches or expensive knives or cars but you seem to? (edited)

150£ wheels on a 1000£ bike... I know the market is broken but that would put me off a little bit. And as mentioned above the frame quality is tbd.
It would be a good deal 7-8 months ago at peak summer demand and with the covid prices still pushing up but now I am not sure

The wheels on my £4k bike were only worth £150, I certainly wouldnt expect better on a bike for only £1k. Dont most people upgrade their wheels anyway? (edited)

Had seen this too this morning. Gets good reviews. Was waiting for a hardtail 29 but this is tempting.

Have heard great things about the Alpkit Camino but their SRAM Rival with Aluminium frame is £1499

This looks like great value for the money. Hydraulic Rival1 is a bit dated but a perfectly acceptable groupset and amazing at this price point.
Hard to comment on the frame itself. Cheap steel can be both amazing and rubbish. The use of thin tube profiles suggests it would be more springy and comfortable if not very stiff. Great for lighter riders and less-loaded up bikepacking setups.
Geometry IMO is great, middle-ground for a gravel bike. 425mm chainstay should make it nice and nimble while the 45mm offset for should add stability. 70mm bottom bracket drop should allow the use of 650b with larger tyres since the 700c clearance for 43mm is not amazing (should still be more than sufficient for UK gravel).
Also love the choice of colours and full set of mounts. Shame there are no triple-mounts on the fork legs. But that's about the only complaint. I'd be all over this if I didn't have two gravel bikes already
