Very good threads on the Headfi forums. This 660s,. And the newer but not cheap 660s2. I have this version and I'm ok with it. It's only 150 ohms. And not 300 like the other 600 versions. so it can run from phone , audio player direct. But you could use a amp if you have one. This one comes with two cables and a very well made hard storage case. And adapter. So you can use 3.5mm or 6.35mm. Etc . Mine were a bit under this price but bought mint second hand. Do your research. Some only want the newer S2 version.
And the second cable you get but may not need , 4mm sells alone for about £150. (edited)

These have fairly subdued treble so might be considered muffled. I don't see the appeal over, e.g. HD 560S or HD 600.

As for the other comment on running from a phone, impedance is only one side of the story. Sensitivity is equally as important; some headphones will have lower impedance but be more difficult to power due to lower sensitivity than a headphone with higher impedance

Great headphones, also got them a few months ago from the Outlet, came as good as new.

Looks like there is a big sell-out for the new one. It is now available for 259 GBP. Cheaper than the Refurbished.

I suppose because of the S2?
