I also paid £10.99 so can be had cheaper. However i have nothing bad to say, mine have been brilliant with a really long battery life. So much so I've bought multiple as presents.

I got those ones too, but these ones seem to be a waterproof version, which could be handy if seeing swimming. I have never had Bluetooth headphones before but liked the freedom of the ones I got when running. Might have got these water proof ones if I'd known, hopefully I've the strength not too buy them in addition!

Got these for work Very good

Got these...love running and gym work in these. Perfect for sports

i paid £10.99 for these about a week ago in a deal of the day promo. I got about 5 hours (speaking, not music) podcasts before the 'low power' warning. Sound quality is subjective but definitely not bad. Not sure I would pay RRP though.

Apple AirPods In Ear Wireless Bluetooth Headphones - Argos' 'A grade refurbished item' with a 12 month guarantee & offers 30 day returns

I managed to get mine sold & shipped from amazon, new for £35 more...worth it imo.

Paid £1.50 for mine. I get 2.5 hours. The only problem I get is that I can't make use the waterproof pocket on the rear of my shorts. The material blocks BT causing problems. However the phone is fine elsewhere.Soubd is impressive for the negligible price, though I really prefer to use wired heavyweights when cpnvenient.

I take it people who wouldn't buy refurbished headphones also avoid eating pre-made sandwiches or even eating out at restaurants too? I can assure you there are worse bodily excretions you are being subjected to every time you do.

I would rather buy 4 x Anker Bluetooth earphones and keep one in commuting bag, home, office and the last on in gym bag, they sound better and would be far more convenient and the plus side is that I will STILL save money.

comparing these worn earphones being sterile to dentists autoclave? really?!

I know. But as I said you lose some functionality once away from Apple devices.

You don't need an Apple device to use AirPods - they work like any bluetooth device

That is all correct but there are definitely better options now. The Jabra Elites I mentioned connect as soon as I place them in my ear, the sound is better than AirPods, they look far more discrete and they have a similar charging case with a similar battery life, and you can do pretty much anything in them without them falling out, including an intense workout. They also fully work with any Bluetooth device rather than just have the basic function. You are then not tied in to Apple devices. You pays your money and makes your choice I guess. The above is a decent price for AirPods though.

From what I can gather, from professional reviews, is that for once apple went with function over form, they may look weird but they work extremely well. Sound quality is simply "good" as opposed to being the the best there is, but their strength lies witin their reliability, strong and almost instantaneous connection and clever charging case.

Is there a reason that the same deal for £2 cheaper 2 weeks ago went over 1000 heat? What’s wrong with this one/good about the other one?

LOTS and LOTS of bad reviews. And lots of fake good reviews online (by 1 time fake reviewers). Avoid.

Sony warranty is good and efficient but the fact that no one can verify it, stay away from them

You won't have any manufacturers warranty. Only a 12 month warranty from them. Admittedly they do seem to have a UK place where you can send it off too, but who knows how good the service is. When I've looked at deals from them before the response is generally, they're good if you have no issues, but if you have any issues then they seem kind of tedious to deal with.

Is this dodgy

had a look at their website and warranty conditions. None of the products they sell have any manufacturers warranty. Waste of time

V dodgy site. So many fake reviews online for them (by 1 time fake reviewers). Avoid.

Thanks, that makes sense. I thought it was a 3rd Party Charge case.

The charging case (white) is included with all airpods - is part of the main design. So your link is just for the airpods and charging case I think. The extra case included in the original post is the black cover for the case - I got a similar one for less than £1 from gearbest.

Am I missing something here? These are Airpods with a generic case, but eGlobal central also sells what appears to be genuine Airpods with a Genuine case for less: https://www.eglobalcentraluk.com/apple-airpods.html Why would anyone buy the one with the generic case?

"Fake" site. Same as eglobal. It's the same trader. Lots of bad reviews. Avoid. Lots of fake good reviews online, by 1 time fake reviewers.

Indeed, but PayPal will side with a not as described case. it also says here that Customs check to make sure import fees and VAT have been correctly paid, and if anything is outstanding the courier will ask for it. https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad/tax-and-duty Therefore, as i said.... if the courier delivers it and you aren't asked to pay anything then surely it has been taken care of, otherwise you reject and get paypal to sort.

Import duty 'may' be paid by them as stated in their T's&C's but VAT is not mentioned and has to be paid in the UK and cannot be paid beforehand. Regarding your rejecting delivery, don't forget your dealing with a Hong Kong business so you have zero consumer rights in the UK.

Exactly, so if the item arrives and alls good, nothing to pay...then you know it's all been already taken care of right? Most horror stories are from people not realising that they need to pay VAT and import tax, and what they thought was a bargain turns out expensive when the courier ask you to pay for the customs........ whereas with likes of Toby Deals/EGlobal they state on their tc's and c's that they pay the fees on your behalf. Therefore if the item arrives and then they ask you for VAT/Import tax then you simply tell them that the fees were meant to be taken care of by the seller and you can then take it up with PayPal etc, or reject the delivery! My point about false declaration was just an example scenario

The courier (be it Royal Mail or DHL etc.) will act as the agent to collect the VAT and import duty on behalf of the UK government, they'll also add a 'fee' on top for doing this. Why would a company declare the value as less than £20 (and why would you want them to) when the goods value a lot more, good luck claiming on insurance if they go missing or are damaged with a falsified value. There's plenty of horror stories on here regarding import duty and VAT liability.

Had these for 2 months now after replacing my apple airpods. Best move I ever made. They stay in my ears no matter what, sound is way better and they don't look silly. No problems with dropping out.

LOL- Buy then and when you return it, please let us know too...

I have the active version of these (basically the same but with slightly higher waterproof rating). I've never had any drop outs or any other problems. I use them both with my s7 edge and my watch (amazfit pace) without any issues. Highly recommend them (though they are expensive, admittedly)

Apologies to Gearbest and HUKD readers - I just discovered that I ordered these poor quality black earbuds via Wish and not Gearbest. They look very similar and have the same model number, but I understand that this design is churned out by more than one manufacturer so the quality may not be the same from different suppliers. My Gearbest order is still to be delivered and I'll post my thoughts on them when I receive them.

Agreed but my 10 year old daughter is made up with hers.

I picked up a pair of Beyerdynamic awhile ago. I'm no expert, but they do leak sound if that's something important to you. They sound amazing even though I might not be using them to their full potential. I can't remember if it is 990 or 770. Sorry. Check rtings for a review.
