Please note:

1. Please make sure that the solar panel and the solar light are connected before use. Only when connected, the solar light will glow in the dark.

2. The solar panel should be installed in a place with effective light to ensure that it can fully absorb sufficient sunlight to extend the working time of this solar path light. The ideal mounting height is about 1.8 to 3 metres.

3. The charging time and lighting duration of the outdoor solar wall light can be influenced by weather, season and installation location. In winter, it is normal if the solar lantern is not bright enough and the lighting time is short.

Tips:

Would you like to know more about this solar lamp? You can get these great tips in one minute! We hope that helps!

Q1: Why does the light turn on after plugging in the cable?

A: It lights up at night (or in a dark environment) when connected. So if you test during the day (or in a bright environment), the light does not turn on, it doesn't mean it is broken. Cover the charging plate and you can see that the light is normal.

Q2: Why is the light not bright enough?

A: When you receive your new solar light, the battery may not be fully charged. We recommend leaving the charger in direct sunlight for 1-2 days to ensure it is fully charged.

Q3: Why do outdoor solar lights often turn on automatically? (No one went by)

A: Solar lights with motion sensor that detects a moving bird or passing car. (It is not recommended to install on the road)

These are good, but mine failed after three years as the cold kills the battery if left outside all winter

If you brought it in during winter it would probably last longer (as it doesn't charge in winter anyway)

What, you mean the season where we need the artificial light in the evening?

Usually easy fix when the working time decreases after a few years:
most of these designs use one or two 18650 batteries housed in the rear of the LED module.
The raised section on the rear of this specific LED module indicates one 18650 battery.
Should be easy enough to replace when the time comes.

Yes, had a similar one from Amazon that started flashing and then died after about a year's use.
Opened it up and there was a cheap (very lightweight, generic blue sleeve) 18650 battery.
Replaced it with an LG one pulled from an old laptop (whose battery was supposedly dead) and it works a treat and is SO much brighter. It's a simple job if you have a soldering iron.
To make the job easier, before you install the light put some tape over the screw holes - rain gets in and rusts up the screws (which will be made from the very softest Chinesium) and the heads round out when trying to remove them.

Only a very small number too, with many being critical.
Seems likely to be more of a "you get what you pay for" product than a bargain. Still tempted to try one out but feel I'd probably regret having drilled the holes for it.

Remote control version pairs are cheaper at £15-16something via the bay with comparable claimed battery capacity, random example:

I've bought many amazon specials solar flood lights before. Mine are around 2-5 years old and working great. I've bought this one, as I need to light a passage on the side of my house, but will mount the solar panel on the south facing part.

Thanks. I thought I'd give it a try. Apart from the solar panel, the light will be pretty well protected. Mind you the cable from the panel to the lamp doesn't look very waterproof. Time to get the silicon sealant out I think.
Still available at this price btw. (edited)

I’ve got two and neither turn on even after two days under the sun. Anyone else have issues? Or is there a hidden button to activate it?
    Nee2's avatar

I have the same issue with a similar one I bought. There is no button to activate it.

I bought one a few years back and this one started to work after just one day in the sun, but would recommend a minium of two full days.
