Go with the Sony it's brighter And has better build quality, speakers And faster OS
The hisense floating design is not Great the front glass is glued on the front chassis And you can see the edges the display model's in store have started to peel away from the bezel, the heat overtime softness the glue And the front glass start's to come away

Really good price considering Currys are selling Samsung bu8000 at the same price, Which is a basic edge lit TV, And the Sony is a direct lit TV Great value

I've been looking at that Samsung for just under £800. Is this Sony worth the £170ish difference?

    Thanks (edited)

Amazing price for an 85” Sony. Word of caution though, this doesn’t have any local dimming so won’t get anywhere close to having good HDR performance. It’s a tough choice on a £1000 budget between size (therefore immersion) and performance. I’d probably still prefer a 65” OLED for £1200-1500 if you can find one.
