    How do you use this? Do you have to take the wheel off first?

    When brake discs are shipped new, they come with a layer of oil on them to stop them rusting. You’d use this to clean the oil off before fitting. Also used to clean clutch parts prior to fitting.

    It’s a strong volatile solvent that’s useful for cleaning oil from parts.

    Anyone used this for cleaning (pedal) bike gears? I find the stuff you buy specifically for that a bit expensive

    Out of curiousity what type of equipment are you using brake cleaner on? I wouldn't be using brake cleaner on anything with plastic. I'll stick with using iso alcohol.
