I added a ring alarm door contact sensor to my shed for about same money. Was the slightly larger gen 1 sensor but still works the same

I had one of these from Aldi for the same price but returned it when it became faulty after 8 months use. It was good whilst it lasted and for this price from Amazon I will give it another go.

I have this and also bought a backup, recommended it doesn't drain batteries and is loud. Just bear in mind where you place it as could easily be knocked off the wall by a burglar

You could even use it as a very cheap alternative to a proper alarm system just to secure your downstairs hallway. The majority of break-ins happen through the ground floor.

    Heated.

Thanks have been after one of these since my last one (different model) died - I think via condensation.
