I don't see why not? I use a monitor with my laptop at work and just have to screen duplicated for if I need to pick the laptop up and take it to another area
We currently have an old HP Envy Book with an I5 3rd Gen. Screen is completely smashed beyond economical repair. But it has 8gb ram and 240gb SSD. Was a shame to waste it so I've started turning it into an emulation power house by connecting it to a external monitor.
it has HDMI so it should be fine.
Purchased 3 of these with a 3 arm stand, only £5 more per monitor for a grade A, couldnt refuse.
