Saves time and loads of energy. Very useful for a single person. Can highly recommend.
Not the V2… you’ll need the V1
The clips are part of the silicone cover. They're quite thin and flexible and you'd need to have a very thick sandwich to put much strain on them.
Too soon to say how long they're likely to last. The edges aren't sealed in the same way that they are in an electric sandwich toaster but it still works well.

It does.
Oops, sorry yes you're right of course. I posted that rather quickly from my phone, as I knew I looked at a number of videos about this one before I bought it, and obviously wasn't paying enough attention. Must try harder!
There are other videos about this one, for example:
You can wash this in the sink or dishwasher. Try doing that with an electric sandwich toaster.
I could say that on many items on hukd.
I would think these are useful for people who want a toastie at work for lunch. Those of us that work in an office type environment won't have access to an oven but could well have a microwave available. I know that's all I have access to
great for toasted sarnies and doing a pannini
It is time saver bit of a kit.
If you prepare the the night before & place this in the fridge, you can take it to work pop in it in the microwave.
Much cheaper then eating out for lunch.
Hope this helps.
Or save half the time and energy and buy this?
Goodness Gracious Me!!!
This is similar to the one in the video but not the same.
Why not suitable for Warburtons?
The bread doesn't have to be perfectly even in size or shape.
I bought one of these a few months ago. It works well but gets very hot so have an oven glove or tongs handy.
Frankly £22.99 seems very expensive for what it is but it does get used as it's far easier to clean than an electric one. (edited)
Double the time and triple the energy.
Sounds like a bonus. You can use quality bread instead of that stuff.
Obviously you don't own one, so commenting is illogical. Aside from the comment on easier to wash, smaller footprint to store.
By the looks of the V2, are the clips elastic? I had the V1 and because of the nature of the clips it had to seal the edges, but the clips broke on mine. I assume with some elasticity on these it wouldn't force the plates close enough, but would be more durable? (edited)
Try a bakery to find out more.
Nope we did have a big Panasonic flat bottom one that fitted both in. But not ATM. But it means you can make the 2nd one while the first is cooking and swap them in and out if you see what I mean.
I see, makes sense. My microwave wouldn't be able to fit more than 1 in at a time unfortunately
Can't take my toastie maker to work. Maker takes up a load of space on the counter/in the cupboard. Less likely to fail than electric device. Much much easier to keep clean with no cheese sludge oozing out into the hinges, and all dishwasher safe.
Oh and it's just a cool thing.
I thought so to until i saw the toastie
