Copied and pasted from my post on another blink offer:

From personal experience, if I were offered the chance to go back and buy again, I wouldn't.

Bought 3 camera's, doorbell with sync module and USB.

Blink have completely nuked functionality in the app to make it as slow and cumbersome to use as possible without going on subscription.

Whilst you can access live video and usb recordings on the sync without subscription, it is much slower, to the extent whomever has rung the bell has left, gone home and are midway through dinner by the time the video loads..

    Just plain greedy from Blink.

Similar experiences/purchases/conclusion. The lag time is suspicious as even on a 5G signal and locally based, or the self-same WiFi network? So slow-mo! Cannot, would not recommend. Pertaining particularly to and specifically with, the locally stored clips. Clearing them as a back-log also means waiting an age, each clip, to delete zzz. (edited)

Is this in the lead up to "Prime day" ? Does anyone think they'll go lower or shall I bite?

You should definitely buy it, and if they go lower - buy them, and return these ones. Or even simply (since they will be identical product), buy the cheaper ones on prime day, initiate return on these ones and then return the ones you purchased on prime day (as a product) as a return you would be returning the first purchase (the one that is more expensive).

Not too confusing? I tend to over complicate sometimes, so it’s a genuine question. (edited)

Good camera but worst night vision motion sensor. It can't detect until object comes to 2 meters to the camera.

Sync module required for local recording?

    Yes

£8pm for the subscription, seems reasonable, unless anyone has a better alternative to this camera/sub?

If you buy Blink, you better get the sync module too, so no subscription needed. Otherwise, if you're willing to pay £8 for subscription, better go with Ring. Cheaper subscription plus better devices. (edited)

Tp link tapo cameras are a similar price and quite good as an alternative

Yes and offers Micro SD recording as well as ONVIF/RTSP support meaning you can use it with your own NVR system. (edited)

How come? They moved me to a trial and now they ask for money, so is useless to me now

Had this around Christmas time before returning. Couldn't stop the background white noise, it was like an echo that got louder and louder. Moved it around in case of interference to no avail. (edited)
