sorted byI don't have a smart meter because I would have a heart attack every time I walked past it. I'd rather just have a single big heart attack at the end of the month
That's how they work, the thermostat regulates the temperature by turning it off and on. Maybe you had the temperature set low, try turning up to max.
Hate to think. 7am and my smart meter says 70p, i was sleeping.....
That's how much it costs to run the smart meter
Getting shot of all their stock, is that what you call a fire sale?
Reduced from £15
I would guess around 60p per hour after the latest increase.

Mine just turns the heat off but continues blowing. Annoying if just out of shower.
It does this even if thermostat on highest temperature and deployed in a cold room (even <10C)
Flogging em off cheap before they chuck em in landfills.
Deals like this have the potential to get people into debt. Very surprised it has been voted hot at all. Honestly think deals like these should come with some level of explanation of how much they are likely to cost you.
Kinda irresponsible really.
Is it better to buy a conventional electric heater instead of a fan one?
The thing is they're all all around 2kw. So they cost the same to use.
These types of heaters were a godsend for us when we were without heating & hot water for nearly 4 months with 3 young children through one of the coldest winters over the last century. We could blast one on in a room for a short while to warm it up a bit, it didn’t need to be on constantly but definitely took the chill out of the air.
I haven't questioned their functionality. It sounds like you resorted to them in an emergency before the massive increases in electricity prices which doesn't really relate to the here and now. There is a reason they're being sold off for half nothing.
