There's a lot of great vaccum cleaners around and the Shark Anti-hair is one of them. I got mine from Amazon when this model was £250 about 6 months ago so this price with the cost of living tax now isn't a bad price. We like ours and the extra battery is really not needed as a charge lasts a lifetime but is handy and comfortable to know it's there.

My wife did not like the heavy weight of the Shark upright cordless when she tried it out in the shop. In the end we got the Samsung Jet 70, which is way lighter and easier to use.

Had the one battery version of this hoover for 3 years with a small child it's literally had a dogs life and still fine. Honestly that's a bargain

I've had the handheld vacuum for a couple of years. The plastic power button just fell off. It would be very easy to replace as it just clips in. I emailed Shark asking how i could get a replacement. They told me they don't supply them and the only option I had would be to purchase a new body, which is basically the full unit minus battery and not far off the full price I paid.

    Try espares.co.uk
They normally have compatible parts for most models.

The dual battery is pretty pointless. The battery can only be charged while it is in the vacuum, so you can't charge one battery up while you are using the other. (edited)

But it does last twice as long.. So not completely pointless. :/

My mum LOVES this hoover and i can’t see why. She came from the same dyson v6 animal i have and she reckons this is head and shoulders above the dyson but its got about 1/3rd the suction power although the brush bar seems better on the shark but it’s really slow. I have to hoover the same dog hairs 10 times to lift them but not with the dyson. She’s not the only one, i’ve heard others love these sharks better. I just don’t get it

Aldi currently have a Beldray handheld which appears to be the exact same design, except that it comes with single battery for £39.99, if that's any better for anyone. (edited)

We just had this and took it back. The suction is terrible. Used in car, had to put turbo on to get sand up and any tiny stones it wasn’t having any of it so no good for us at all

You can get a free home trial from shark too. My parents didn't for the more expensive one here, put a part of the joint protection came off so sent it back. It's good they stand by their product enough to do that.
