Been using this for a year now. Worth the price. Hassle free. Inflates my car and bike tyres. Supports PSI, BAR readings. Has different modes for car, bike, others(football/basketball/toy/)

Same. Never going back to manual pumps.

I think some of the comments above have confused this 1S model with the original pump. The 1S was launched earlier this year. Both look near identical, the most visible difference being that the 1S has a USB C port instead of Micro USB. Performance wise, they’re very different, as can be seen in the image below.48691575-R4nZD.jpg

I have a couple of these. Kept in the boot of each car. They are okay but I don't think they are that accurate. Also they take a while to inflate unless you are like 3-4 psi below the target. I now use a PCL Accura Mk4 with my air compressor. They are industry standard and come with a calibration certificate. Super accurate and fast.

These aren’t even remotely comparable! I don’t know why I wasted my time googling it! Christ

Does it work with Presta valves?
    sanchez82's avatar

Yes, they have an adaptor with them. I’m not sure they will be able to do high pressures (65+) though.

    48683035-OaXnf.jpg

Edit: just discovered that on the “bike” setting the max is 65psi. If you cycle through the modes you can select a non specific mode which will allow you to do higher pressures, not tried this out myself though. (edited)

I paid £40 for this three months ago. Well worth it. I’ve topped up my car tyres on five occasions before recharging. Pressure readings correspond with my Michelin digital gauge.

Thanks. I have ordered for topping up car tyres, very grateful for the accuracy check

I have the old version of the Xiaomi and also got a baseus one recently.
The baseus one is poor in comparison to even the old Xiaomi so I'd definitely get this one.

At the risk of sounding a bit "Greta", do we really need this high tech solution to such a low tech problem? This gadget has a finite lifespan - it'll last a couple of years then be resigned to the landfill while the planet burns. Get a decent foot pump and it will last a lifetime without the need for lithium batteries, circuit boards, plastic etc. Don't get me wrong, I really like Xiaomi gear, but this is just tech for tech's sake.

yes we do need this high tech solution

have you ever tried to pump up a few PSI on a car tyre, you'll be there all day, also this can be neatly tucked in the corner of your boot or the glove box for when and if you need

    Is this a smart pump?
    LifeForSale's avatar

You can set it to a pressure and it will stop once it hits that, if that’s what you mean by smart

These are rubbish. One tyre likes like 12mins from 26 psi to 36 psi
    fleabittenvarmint's avatar
    fleabittenvarmint
If your tyre has lost 10psi, I'd be questioning the state of your tyre, not the inflation device.

If one sets one's expectations on the basis that this obviously isn't some sort of industrial grade compressor, but a very portable and convenient device for the odd top-up or emergency use, it's perfectly fit for purpose.

Also keen to hear peoples experience with this one or whether better going for something else. My hesitation is that I have something that looks similar, purchased from Amazon three or four years back and the pressure accuracy is, well, not very accurate! (edited)

It's paid for itself already as saves a quid each time I want to check/top up my car tyre pressures.

It's also brilliant for keeping my bike tyres at the correct psi

It'll even pump up a 4.8" fat bike tyre (edited)

Do you set the pressure and then it inflates to it or do you have to watch and stop it at the right point?
    0901salmoc's avatar
    0901salmoc
It stops at what you set it on. I've had one for about 4 years and I'm tempted to buy three more - one for each tyre!

Seems like a good deal, especially after my local petrol station has doubled the price in the last year for their air compressor, oh well, that's inflation for you.

Had this over a year, and it's superb. Can easily do 1 to 2 tyres depending on what pressure per charge. My Mrs rear tyres have slow punctures which have had attempted fixes 3 times now but they always come back. This is perfect for topping them up.

    Great for bikes as well.

Great for motorcycles. Compact for touring and does the job within a reasonable time. As to accuracy, I always check with another gauge and the one I received is spot on.

Had my eye on these for ages, was going to take a punt and order one from AliExpress and risk the custom fees and issues that may arise. I had no idea Currys sold them, and it's the newer model with a bigger battery and USB-C charging, literally perfect and for a great price. Xiaomi really do make some excellent bits

I am a fiend for USB-C products. I don't care if it's a fan, a shaver or an electrical pump - having them chargeable with a common standard is very welcome.

Is this the newer USB-C version?

EDIT: Ah I see it is. Well worth it then I bought this earlier in the year from AliExpress for similar price. I can top up all four tyres on two cars easily. Very good for checking tyre pressure too. (edited)

Mine recently died after 2 1/2 years to a small hole in the pipe. Until then it was a good purchase for cycling, though for car usage I prefer a compressor powered from a cigarette lighter.
