Merrel used to be great, I still have a pair from 6 years or so back that I can walk through streams in, but anything I've had in the last few years has been crap. Has Mike Ashley bought the name or something?

    I wouldn’t be surprised

I do like Merrell a lot, great price so put an order. According to TCP it can be used with the discount code so potentially another 10% TPC, if tracked it will be a bargain!

They have my size so tempted! But after reading the reviews they rate very poorly! I think it’s best to avoid!

Some mixed reviews here. I’ve had a pair of Moab 3 and found them brilliant. Had to size up a full size but they were perfect. Waterproof, comfortable, durable and easy to maintain. Only downside was the Vibram soles not being replaceable. I’ve worn the soles off these after a year doing 5-10 miles, 5 days a week for work.
Anyone wondering about Merrel being “crap these days” is subjective. I’d give them a go if you’re close to hitting checkout now!

What's the sizing like on these, just ask because I sided up on a pair of Clarks boots to 9.5 and they were more like a size 10.5.

I bought these awhile back, I found the arch far too high and uncomfortable for my feet.

Same as Saloman then. I'm never going to bother with fabric goretex boots again, great if you live in a desert

Agree Merrell, is poor now ,6 months old goretex boots are leaking, no ever cc again

I'd avoid Merrell like the plague. My pair of £75 running shoes fell apart after 2 days of light usage.

I would say a good beginner boot if just dipping your toes into hiking. longer term better investing in a solid leather pair of boots such as Scarpa gtx. Good value for what you get from a known brand. Would also suit for a winter dog walking boot if like mine, you local park is very mushy at this time of year
