Woods 25L Dehumidifier in White, MDK26
£60 off now £239.98 delivered.
I have ordered this as I’m having a nightmare with condensation and drying clothes. Costco’s customer service is second to none so I know I’ll not have a problem if it’s no good.

Not really much difference to the Pro Breeze 20L Which I have zero faults about it and had running long time over the years, which is often under £200 from various sites even in these times (4.6/5 on Amazon with alomst 3k reviews so far)
The Pro Breeze seems to cover slightly larger area, has larger tank but maximum suckage power a bit less - but remember that is the maximum at any point really, not the actual you will see.

I did far too much research into Dehumidifies when bought mine long time ago lol (edited)

The Pro Breeze 20L is 450w power consumption, the Woods is 260w. Not compatible unless I am missing something?

    It’s such a minefield!

I'm probably missing something when looking at the description, I can't tell whether this is a desiccant dehumidifier?
    Alan1973's avatar
It’s not clear no. Another site has it as a ‘Refrigerant‘. So, not a desiccant one no.

I’ve wasted hours looking at all the different ones. Probably ended up talking myself into getting the next one I saw on ‘offer’. Plumped for this after having a Google and it looking a solid brand. I’m sure whatever people end up with will suit whatever they need.

You’re welcome. I don’t think you can go wrong with Costco.

I bought this since arête is out of stock, spec wise this is almost the same just missing the hepa grade filter. But to pay £60 quid less and not get the filter is ok with me

Great price for the 3 in 1, but doesn't look cheap to run. I think someone comments on reviews saying £1.24 an hour.

For those on a tighter budget. This Afloia X3 is worth a look amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1
Its a dessicant type, so more power hungry ( 380W low 734W high ). But can be used in lower temperature environments due to its inbuilt heater.
As an idea to its performance, I ran it in an unheated 4mX4m size room, 12Celsius and 74% humidity. After 1 hour it was 60% and 16C.
A mixed laundry took 6 hours on low setting to more or less dry in an unheated bathroom.
But yes Costco is ideal, given that you can try it out, and return it if not satisfied

Do you need to be a Costo member to buy something off their site?
    Alan1973's avatar
Yes. I believe it’s £15 for the year. One of our family has it and the rest of us use it (changing payment and delivery details). Check out their other BF offers to see if it’s worth it. They are generally good for bulk buying consumables or for electric items.

I can't find any reviews for this model.

Are Woods an established brand? Warranty any good? (edited)

Is this any good? My Meaco Zambezi packed in today after 5 years ... Called Costco they are getting costco.co.uk/App…791 on 02/12/2022.

    Meaco or this one?

I'm now considering a positive input ventilation (piv) system instead. Anyone have any experience with these?
  12. SteUK's avatar
Hmm. This looks decent. Natural comparison is against the Meaco 20LE I think in terms of price (£250). This moves more air, more water, and is only 5w more power consumption.

I had mine delivered a couple of days ago and it's been great so far. Good for laundry and general usage

Thanks for the update. Have you done any power consumption checking? Is the 260w they claim accurate?

    Clifford_Butler's avatar
Yeah, it's gone, will have to look out for another dehumidifier
