GAME CHANGER!!!
AMAZING!!! Great sized compartments - cooked chicken fillets in one side and chips in the other in 15 mins. Cook pretty much everything in it - only thing I used my oven for now is pizza. Bought another 2 as Christmas presents!

Are these really up to the hype?

I have a dual basket Ninja and for me it's absolutely lived up to the hype. I'd say the main benefits over an oven are: -

    1. It doesn't need to be pre-heated in order to cook the vast majority of things.

    2. It cooks most things faster than an oven, sometimes considerably faster. E.g. Tesco Finest oven chips take 18 minutes in the air fryer, compared to 30-35 in the oven, plus the oven needs to be pre-heated for several minutes too.

    3. For everything I've cooked in it, the results were either as good or better than an oven.

    4. Each basket can be set to its own cooking method and temperature.

    5. It saves electricity.

I'd say the only downsides are small; obviously each basket is nowhere near as big as an oven, so you're limited in what can fit in, plus there is a bit of a learning curve when you first get one as the cooking instructions on the packaging of almost all foods only give you times and temps for a regular oven. That said, there are plenty of air fryer cookbooks out there, including free ones.

Seems a good price, just not sure if this can achieve the high temperatures like the Ninjas do (240 degrees)

I ordered mine directly from Tower on a 3-5 day delivery date on the 20th November, it's been "delayed". You can't phone directly, everything is done via email. It's going to take another 48 working hours to respond. (I've asked for a refund).
