How can you tell? I want the 20GB/24m deal with student code but I am not a BT BB customer.

Hopefully I'm wrong as I'm looking for a decent EE deal.
The 388.80 = 24 * 16.20 seems incorrect and it should be
6 * 16. 20 + 18 * 32.40 = 680.40
More generally, 6 months half-price of a 24 month contract will be a factor of 7/8 of the original price averaged across the term. (edited)
I really like the EE signal around my area so I went for it. I wasn't going to be upgrading my phone this year due to the price contracts and the RPI increase in March on a 24mo wasn't selling it for me. (edited)
Managed to upgrade my sim to 250gb a month with EU roaming included on a 12 month sim for £13.50 a month. Downgraded my wife’s sim to 6gb for £6 a month and will just gift data if required. Overall we’re getting 86gb more data month for approx £10/£11 less than we were paying.
The chap was also able to renegotiate my BT broadband deal as well and went from paying £36.05 for Fibre 100 to now getting Fibre 500 for £30.99.
Overall saving around £16 a month on SIM and broadband costs (for more data and faster speeds) until April at least and even then probably be marginally better off than what we were paying previously
The link goes to a page which has 'view on EE'...
When I click to view on EE, I can't find the 100gb/200gb (or a 50gb) option anywhere, just the half price for 6 month black Friday options..
(Not a BT customer, hoping to blag with a student code, which I also don't have yet!)
I tried getting the 100gb deal and successfully applied the bluelight discount. However, I get error 405 when the credit check starts. I'm trying to do this as a new line and then transfer my number back (apparently I gt to move to another provider on PAYG then move back!).
They weren't very helpful on the phone in terms of offering any upgrades to this price. The gentleman also said this deal is an error which I know is not right!
As mentioned above, if you come to end of contract and do nothing, you will stay on same tariff just running month by month until you tell EE what you want to do.
If you have an active PAC code then it freezes your account for any changes as it assumes you want to move away, therefore you cannot get upgrade offers or port to payg. You will need to ask them to cancel the PAC so it makes your account active again for changes/upgrades.
You cannot port a live EE number onto another live E E number which is why you would need to take your number to a different network, then get PAC code from that network and port back in to overwrite your new connection.
Has anyone managed to order with both discounts?
EDIT: Managed to add the discount and additional 10GB data via live chat after sim arrived. Final Total is £7.20pm for 20gb data. Thanks OP
Oh another thing is that there’s no speed caps! (edited)
I went for the 100GB offer, so it was £10.80 after both discounts.
Looking to upgrade as finally now eligible and prefer to stick with EE. Wonder if can do better on the phone with retentions tho. Hmm.
And this offer is ridiculous compared to IDMobile which uses the very same network.
I'm on £25/m for 200gb data + BT sport and i can only get less data than that for the same price now!
i will find the best deal on uswitch and have a word with customer services later to see if can get me a nice deal
they also had like £200 pre-paid card 'cash back' on pixel etc too (edited)
EDIT: Sorry Mr Switch. My bad on the EE site there is the same thing for the same price £16.20 and it's called the black friday deal but it reverts after 6 months. If I click the link in the deal it looks like £16.20 for the full 24. (edited)
I called EE yesterday, they wouldn't match this threads deal as I am not with BT or get anywhere close to it really. Requested PAC code, started port, tested speeds with new vodaphone sim and way slower than EE.
Called EE again just now, got through to retentions who mentioned that as i requested PAC code (and maybe as I started the p[ort process from my number) they now have access to other offers that they didn't before. Got £18 / month for unlimited data, no speed cap. So sounds like the people on the phone really don't get access to these better offers unless a pac and or transfer is started.
Also if anyone needs a student code here's one. Do post here if you use it though

I'll get my OH to call EE .. but has anyone had success as a non BT customer?
Are they eligible for 'EE perks' 20% discount?
I ask as in many ways they are better value than the headlined tariffs!
(Personally I'm on a 160GB i got a year ago for ~14 month which was from an ex-PAYG 6/month discount)
It takes you through to the main EE website to check out - but any double data offers are missing (I'm not a BT customer).
If I can sign up for the 50GB deal currently floating around - with 20% Perks, that is £10.80/month which I'm happy with - just I'm not a BT customer.
If all I lose is the double data - cool. If however they find out I'm not a customer and increase the price, less so. Although I guess there is always the ability to just leave.
Go through the process and 'm told "It looks like you're already an EE customer" which I'm not - left nearly a year ago.
Have tried 3 different email addresses and get the same each time, so it's obviously finding my name & address from somewhere.
If I do as suggested and attempt to log into my existing account, I get the message "Unable to login to this account".

Received calls yesterday that I just ignored/was away from phone. I did have an item in the basket so maybe that's why they called and perhaps had nothing to do with my sim order.
Today I got an email saying the sim's been despatched.
Looking good so far.
