Anti- Ninja here. I wouldn't buy this if you value money. The product is great and works as expected, but when your crisp trays wear out (general wear and tear through use and washing) you will be left with a working machine that is effectively useless. You can go on cooking but your food will stick all the time. Of course Ninja do say they sell replacements BUT they have no intention of ever doing this. They have been out of stock for 2 years now. They refuse to release stock to sell to force you into buying a new machine. They ignore all communication about this and HAVE never commented on any feedback relating to this issue. ignore all emails. Try and remove feedback highlighting this issue (not always successful - but they have removed some from their own site, including my own.

Buy by all means but be aware of where you will be in 12-18 months

Good to know thank you. What other brands would you recommend instead?

That’s the selling price for that model anyway. Now if it was for the 9.5L, that would be a better deal.😃

Cold for me. The af400 (bigger one) was at 180 in argos a few days ago.

Also the af300 is on at 200 in argos as a standard price.

I feel like I'm going crazy listening to all my family tell me to get one of these air fryers. Then everyone online telling me they can cook a whole roast dinner in them.

What's wrong with an oven? I can cook a roast dinner in that too - why spend hundreds of pounds on these? I wish someone could tell me, as I genuinely don't get it.

Maybe it's me - I don't use an oven much anyway, we tend to cook hob meals; lasagne, chilli, curries etc.

It’s healthier, much tastier, cooks things properly. You have to try it to understand it, I haven’t used my oven since I’ve had this. Plus it’s a lot cheaper to run too so you do make a saving there

We have had ours for over a year now and has shown no sign of wearing out? we use it daily with constant cleaning after use

We will never go back to using the oven

Can you not add silicone liners to the trays when they wear out?

Defeats the purpose of having an air fryer

Does anyone know what the difference is between an air fryer and a halogen oven? As far as i can see they both cook with a halogen bulb.
    CrazeUK's avatar
No. The air fryer has a heating element, like an electric grill with a large fan that blows the heat around.

The halogen heat lamp is one directional - usually from the top.

See it like going to a hot country and a wind blowing over you, as opposed to sitting outside with a light (halogen) heater toasting your head

Paid £179 in July for the 9L version of this from Amazon. It's great and we use it most days and cooks things way way quicker than a fan oven does.

kinda dubious myself, I think I'd start to eat way too much fried chicken

Got one for £176 with discount, are they fairly intuitive to use?

Mrs loves it. Wonder why i didn't get it before. I used think, it was just yet another hype in HDUK.

What kind of none-stick do these use? Cancer causing PFA’s or something safe?
