Just ordered this.

Never ordered a refurbished phone before, but i've used LaptopsDirect a few times.

Seems a good price for a grade A1 (pristine) Fold 4.

    Yeah. Received it yesterday.

Small mark in the top corner, but otherwise perfect.

As I mentioned previously, I purchased and returned this phone due to cracking noises when unfolding. Buyitdirect (laptopsdirect) are now alleging it is heavily scratched and want to deduct £255 from the refund!!! Buyer beware

Quick update, I spoke to eBay and they sided with me. Still very sneaky

I got mine today and its in perfect condition, Looks brand new to me.

It does make a screen creak when opening it but im sure my fold 3 did this when i had it a while back. I sold my fold3 and regretted it.

This being half price from new im well happy with it.

I got a refurb recently from buyitdirect - I think it’s the same company as Laptops Direct.
Anyway, it was in mint condition, still had some of the film stuck on - but no box. Just the phone & cable.
Fantastic phone - it was a revelation using it around London.
As a phone it’s a bit of a tank, but the tablet mode really takes mobile computing to the next level.
The camera is pretty good (although colours are a bit over processed) & the battery life is also pretty good.

I Purchased the Laptop Direct deal as well (which is part of Laptop Direct) and it came in the same condition you described and I'm really happy with it. It was the 12 month warranty that was the deciding factor for me just because I did have several very frustrating issues with a fold 2 but so far so good with this one.

The only slight issue I have seen is the camera focus seems to wonder off a little if you are trying to photo something 2 to 3 feet in front of me but it's not a big deal.

Grade A1 with a 12 month warranty, I'd never pay this much for a phone but voted hot because it's a good deal.

Not a great company to buy from but hopefully no issues. I got the Fold3 from cheapest-electrical and it was basically brand new. I have had the 3 and 4 side-by-side but not rushing off to switch yet. I'd love to see them do some big improvements for the 5, especially a memory card slot (I doubt it but who knows).

More likely a built in stylus than memory card slot.

Not sure I'd trust a refurb folding phone. Not a bad price, but not for me...

Do they add some folds back in during the refurb process?

New one is quite expensive with 256gb. Not a bad price for refurb. Highly doubt if it will have any major issue. Possibly a 15 day return.

Couple of family members of mine have this phone and it’s superb, but after 12mths the thin layer of film that’s stuck on top of the screen began to crack in the centre where it folds. Then it’s a case of sending it off to a Samsung authorised repair centre. But it’s a bit of a con because they have to factory reset the phone and also repair any other dints phone may have as part of their supposed process, and surprise surprise there is a cost for that at £500 (which is ridiculous) (edited)

From what I've read, the screen, the frame and the hinge are basically one unit as far as Samsung is concerned.

This seems to be the reason everyone says you shouldn't own this phone without insurance. I'm considering o2 switchup for this, but the insurance is £9 on top of an already expensive contract.

I returned my A1 grade fold 4 recently, made a horrible cracking noise when it was being unfolded and the inner screen protector had been removed! Hopefully they do not try to resell it again!

Was that advertised as 'pristine condition'? Just curious as was going to jump on it until I read your comment :/
