Would this be any good for virgin broadband

I can confirm. I have the M5s. Just go into the virgin hub settings, change to modem only mode (I think u have to setup a password to log back in if u need to change things after). Then just plug one M5 into the first ethernet port, and they'll do the rest. I think all u need to do is tell them (via the app) which is the main node - i.e. The one connected to the router. U can even choose which M5 node connects to another, so u get the best signal. Make sure firmware is current

I'd go with these...I've just ordered them. It's a 3 node setup so will ahave more flexibility and the tp link app is decent. These don't have a dedicated backhaul, which might be an issue for some. But they are much cheaper

Just to add to this, I've set them up with virgin media hub in modem mode. I have another router so these and in access point mode only and I have cat6 back haul. Easy to setup and work fine. My friend has a couple of spare m4 nodes I might add into the mesh as well, they aren't WiFi 6 but will be good to extend the WiFi 5 out to places.

Overall impressed with it all, much better than the Linksys velop I was using before

These are good but I would like to know if the X60 are worth the extra, they have 4 antennas, these have just 2. Better or wider range perhaps???

I can't compare the two but I'm very happy with my X60 configuration (3 hubs). It doesn't have a dedicated backhaul wireless like the more expensive moddels but you can do it with a lan cable between two hubs. My internet is rated at 900Mbps, I get that on LAN from the first hub, with wireless around 650-700Mbps. The third one furthest away gets me around 400-450Mbps on a daisy-chain setup.

The only downside is no manual control over selecting which hub connects to which, it does it automatically. TP link have promised to fix that in updates for a very long time, haven't seen any change yet. (edited)

Is there much difference with this and the Deco x20? I recently got the x20 at a deal price as well. Wondering if its worth the exchange.

Torn between these and second hand Google Nest WiFi's. My Deco P9's have seem to have lost the plot. I have 900mb internet, I get 900 from the vodafone router - my P9's used to do 900 wired, but now max out at 250.

I get that problem on occasion. Do you have any ethernet switches? My latest theory is that something running through the switch is causing a reduction in speed - still need more testing tho. I have 1gbps connection on the ethernet going into the switch and out from the switch to my pc/s but when i speed test the pc i should get the full 260mbps which is what my internet speed is, it often drops to 80-90mbps.

i bought these x55's to try and remedy this, was running them in router mode. Worked fine for a day or so then back to slow wired speeds. So sent them back as obviously my old setup wasnt the problem

Do you already need to have a router to plug this into? Or does one of them function as a router (which you connect to a modem) and the others as satellites?

You don't need anything other than the router/modem your ISP provided. Set that to modem only mode & connect to 1 of the Decos, which will act as the master for the rest

Guys I have gigabit BT broadband and have the M4 deco set up it's superb but only get 200mbs on ground floor and approx 100mbs on second and third floor...
Would I get decent improvement in speeds with these compared?
At the BT hub wireless I get 500mbs.
Need something to at least double my wireless speeds cheers.
