20 hours to complete the game. Is that it

Good. Too many games these days are 80 hour long bore-athons. One look at achievements/trophies show most people aren't completing them. It just drags a game down.

Give me a good 20 hour experience over that any day.

Non Harry Potter fan here, never read a book and never watched any of the films.

I'm 42 and from the the gameplay reveals, I though this game looked pretty good so I decided to buy it.

I'm only 4 hours in and the game has blown me away so far. Hogwarts castle is absolutely massive and there is so much to see and do, the attention to detail is top notch. I found myself just admiring the architecture in the castle, its all wonderfully crafted.

Also visited a nearby town which also looked amazing. Wondering around the different shops and taking in the sights was so mesmerizing.

I didn't actually do much in these 4 hours other than just look and gawk. Stunning world. (edited)

I'd recommend giving the first book or audio book a try... if you don't enjoy books then you might like the film.

Single player only.. 4 friends ( including myself ) cancelled pre-orders after finding that out.

Whatever made you think in any of the marketing that this would be multiplayer?

I'd buy it at £100 to annoy the woke crowd 😁

This will be Game of the Year 2023!

Hard to see it being game of the year - most reviews point out significant issues with the game and yet give it 9s and 10s, which is probably overinflating the score of it in reality.

Forgetting the overly negative review bombers on one side and the Potterheads who will give an instant 10/10 on the other - the game plays more like a 7-7.5/10 in real terms.

You still have heavy hitters like Zelda and Starfield coming out this year, hard to see it competing. (edited)

It doesn't seem to show stock in my local extra store. Does this mean that they won't have it in stock at all?
    Piranha_Plant's avatar
The key to opening the Tesco stock is Parseltongue; one must say "open" to the Tesco entrance in Parseltongue for it to open stock to them.

Don't bother with Tesco click and collect for reserving games, it doesn't work

    Owl post is more reliable

Damn it, the only shop near me that has this is Argos in Sainsbury's and they're charging £64.99 for the regular PS5 version

so, will I get my 5% Nationwide cashback on this ?
    cheesemp's avatar
I think so. It excludes petrol, convenience stores etc but nothing about product type exclusions. The terms and conditions are listed in the nationwide app so feel free to check yourself to be sure.

Just bought it in Tesco Knocknagoney in Belfast. The entire games and bluray section is gone but there was a cardboard stand with hogwarts boxes in it just in between customer services and the magazine/books area in case anyone else was wandering round the store looking for it

How do you check stock like the image?
    M4cbeth's avatar
Using the Tesco app. You can select the store and check stocks and prices

Thanks for this, they had a few in Amersham superstore and I found £9 vouchers on my app so paid £41 for it
