    i need this, even though it will be around 10 years before i get a chance to play this, i still have the ps4 version sealed

    This is hands down one of my favourite action JRPGs. It's not perfect, it has obvious flaws, but there is something very special at its core.

    That being said, I don't know if this version brings enough to the table for me to recommend to anyone except collectors over the cheaper PS4 version.

    I played this last month after being intrigued by some gameplay I saw and what a great game it was. Yeah it did have some flaws but the tropical location and the quick dynasty warriors type combat I liked. Also the story was really good. Can't believe I never heard of Falcom before this.

    Ys Origin is beautifully crafted as well. It's a lot more retro than recent Ys games like Lacrimosa of Dana and Memories of Celceta. But the wonderful gameplay loop, varieties of enemies, bosses and challenges all held together by the tastefully done story is superb.

    Great game, I upgraded from the Vita version (which I didn’t really get around to) to this version recently and can see myself pouring a lot more time into it. Good entry point to the series and you don’t need to have played the others.

    This was kinda my first proper Ys game, played one of the older ones on steam for an hour waaay back in the day but this one just sucked me in all the way to the end. 50 odd hours. Awesome music, combat and story. Really is an awesome game.
