Iv been waiting for a 65 oled to come on offer, I’m still not sure what the difference in the modes are.
Costco sell one for around 1300 but I believe it’s the a2 and the most basic,
Is this worth the extra 300 ?
    Costco have superb returns policy

Yes this is best consumer 65” LG TV.

G Series is best, then C Series, then B and then A.

I’d avoid A series if you can pay extra.

    I’d get G series Over C series.

But you have to pay extra for a stand as G series is made for wall mounting. (edited)

For benefit of people. G2 is top of the range stuff. C2 comes after that. Then comes B2. Then comes A2. CS is last year's C1 model with latest processor that is in C2. For vast majority, C2 is the sweet spot. If you don't know the difference in models, then G2 is not worth spending to begin with - it is for nerds. I personally am going for CS because that gives me best value for money. Picture quality in all of them is amazing. (edited)

    Incorrect.

CX was a 2020 C series main set.

    It’s the CS model that is a 2021 C1 with 2022 C2 processor.

I was holding out for a C2 but could bite at this price. Is there an official stand?? How much additional we talking?

Sorry for qs, i've spent many lost hours in the past weeks googling OLEDs and I am still spinning...

Having gone through what you've been though, i fully sympathise.

The days of "has it got SCART, Fastext and NICAM" are long gone!

I think your looking at around £100 for the official stand

Sony set to release it's 2023 flag ship at 3pm tomorrow so that should be interesting
    danston's avatar
I'm guessing here but probably more brightness via micro lens array and/or improved heatsink will be the only discernable improvement.

    Over £1.5 on an LG?
    danston's avatar
Yup. £164.10 over to be precise.

I bit. I blame you all.

This is the one I said I'll go for when a great deal is posted. In my eyes this is a great deal, but I now have the problem of I really can't decide which TV I actually want. There are so many great TV's available at the moment, trying to make a final decision is a constant fight!

Same here mate,I also like the Sony s95k and the Panasonic lz2000b I have looked at all TVs for a few months on all web sites and YouTube but still none the wiser
  9. Diancecht's avatar
Do you think this will come down even lower in the next couple of months?

    Probably..

Top tip: Hotukdeals has a search feature. Search for its model number and it will show all the previous deals. It's a NICE feature

I’ve got an 55 A95k on order but may cancel for this. Also waiting to learn what Sony announce tomorrow. I’ve literally gone round in circles over what tv to get. I was focussed on brightness and PQ so opted for the smaller A95k but I’m now swaying towards a 65 inch tv
    44x's avatar
How does this compare to the A95K aside from price? (edited)

This or the Samsung S95B? On Rting it seems like S95B is better.

Only using streaming services and sometimes connected up to my PC for movies. (edited)
    danston's avatar
Do you use a 4k Blu-ray player? If so, I'd lean more toward the LG as Samsung doesn't have Dolby Vision.

Edit: pretty sure the Sammy will go brighter though (may be a consideration if you watch a lot of TV during the daytime) (edited)

Again, potentially a silly question but the page says special offer, 5 years warranty then below the 'add to basket' button, it gives option for no extended warranty and then up to 5. Confused.com.
    hotsir's avatar
    So 10 years in total

Waiting for a good deal on the 77” G2. Best price atm is around £3199. Hopefully will drop once the G3 range is released later this month.

Richer sounds price matched this for me and knocked £20 off.
    emmacowley's avatar
Richer Sounds warranty does depreciate every year, please note.

    code not valid
  21. JakeT100's avatar
Just to add to this, although I'm not knowledgeable enough in the soundbar area to say if it's worth it or not, but Richer Sounds have this up for £1999 (was lower last week on offer)

Extra year warranty (6 year total)
Soundbar and sub for free (technically for £334.90 taking this deal into account) which is worth £999..
