Get closer to the action than ever before

This Sony TV has a really clever bit of tech that makes everything on the screen looks more real than ever before. It does this with a Cognitive Processor XR, which splits the display into thousands of little pieces. It then scans these areas for colour, contrast and detail all the same time – just like our brains do. The result is a picture that looks so clear and bright, you can almost reach out and touch it. It really is amazing.

Lose yourself in a spectacular picture
This model combines a powerful Cognitive Processor XR with an XR TRILUMINOS PRO screen to bring movies, TV shows and games to life. The processor works behind the scenes to highlight the finer details, and cut down on distortion and blurring for a more realistic picture. The TRILUMINOS tech displays a huge range of colours that are bright, vivid and incredibly lifelike. When you add them together, you get an eye-popping picture that’ll really pull you into the action.

Precise sound from every angle
This TV uses Acoustic Surface Audio+™ tech to deliver really accurate sound for whatever you’re watching. There are 4 areas on the back panel that vibrate, carrying dialogue and music from the main speaker across the screen to match what’s happening. This means that you’ll always hear things like speech directly from the character’s mouth for a more immersive experience.

A picture as good as the cinema
This model uses IMAX Enhanced tech, which means you can enjoy the best cinema has to offer in the comfort of your own home. It gives all the visual and audio features a boost, ramping up your viewing experience with super-sharp detail and immersive sound. Forget smuggling snacks and searching for your seat – everything you need is right here in your living room.

TV at your command
This TV includes the innovative Google Assistant to make your at-home entertainment smoother and more enjoyable. By using voice commands, you can search for your favourite films, play music, discover brand new content, check what’s on later, and even change settings. So, you can easily access a whole host of content without having to type anything, and control your experience with a few simple requests.

    Have a look here:

Off the top of my head, the A90J was flagship level. But, I don't think there's a huge difference overall. Also, the A90J has a heatsink and the A80k doesn't. (edited)

Why does everyone groan about warranty. I've had flat screens since they came out and never had a TV go bang . I'll let everyone know if I've just jinxed myself.

I've just ordered a refurb of this exact TV. I'm hoping it's nicer overall than my LG 48 inch C1 which has been great so far, but needed to go bigger.

I've bought the 55" version in November. It blew up over the weekend and the repair people coming out on Tuesday.

While it worked, the tv was AMAZING.

Is there anyway to get this TV with a 5 year warranty?

You might be able to extend it via Sony directly. Or buy elsewhere

Great TV but I’ve just had to contact Sony regarding a permanent vertical line in mine that has appeared after less than a year’s use. I’ve a 5 year warranty and getting replaced in the next few days
