Do hyperoptic negotiate deals with existing customers. I’m paying 25 per month for their 50 mb , been with them for a long time ……think I should threaten to cancel , it’s out of contract and see where it takes me?

After seeing this offer and your comment I rang them up and tried to negotiate my current terms (50Mbits, 26£, 3+years.)
My efforts got shot down pretty quickly "This is affiliate, we can't match this" even after I mentioned their offer on their direct website for £25 for the same service she initially denied that and wanted me to offer the £25 only on a 12month term.
I was about to give up then she offered me 100MBit for £25.

Their internet service is great but as an existing customer for years I do not feel valued. Shame.

Would the price increase after April if I sign up now?

Is there any rhyme or reason to how HO are expanding their network? We’re just outside London but still get the “we won’t be seeing you for a while” schpeil. I’ve got a contract up with BT and wanted to give HO a try but it looks like I might as well move on and try again in a year or two.

Usually new builds where access to cabinets and internal structure allows them to add wiring etc. Having said that I know of a few areas where old tower blocks are now set up (admittedly London)

Are you planning on doing away with me, because informing me first gives me a head start

This stacks with referrals too (£25 for both referrer and referee), so TCB + referral + deal could result in a much lower cost per month. Heat

Could someone recommend a supplier to go with? Currently with sky, 500mbps, they want to raise the price to £53 a month. Currently looking at Zen, who also provide a really good router. Who else can we look at which are good?

Giganet. Try City fibre website. They have a whole load of suppliers

Wish this company would join the fibre heroes network or openreach in the future. This is such a good a price for the lucky folk in areas covered.

Is there a way to use mesh network with them (like using a modem only mode)?
    Porsche_did_911's avatar
    Porsche_did_911
I don't see why not, you just disable the WiFi on the router they provide and wire your mesh node into the back of the router

Expressed interest to these guys years ago. My area has been on approved and awaiting cables (3-9 months) the entire time. Phoned them a few times and kept getting the 'shouldn't be long' or 'a few months', or 'we don't know' line over and over.

I appreciate things take time but I dislike the disingenuousness which has not enamoured me to their company.

I hate the BT and Sky duopoly here. All these smaller ISPs don't exist in NI and rurally it's just the big players. We pay BT £35 a month for 150Mbps down (get 130Mbps) and forced IP phones, we got no choice.

The UK is behind. However, it doesn't surprise me. I live 1.4mile away from Heathrow airport, and I still have no Fiber in my area ridiculous

I’m 4 months in with Community Fibre on a 24 month contract and they’ve just sent an email saying that the prices will rise in April by around £2.50pm. Thinking if I should switch to this.
