Just upgraded mid-contract, but as an existing customer £23 per month.

Rowlers

I have just recontracted with NOW broadband though was a couple of weeks back and didn't have this offer so got for £24.99. It's a good deal with the calls included. Agree with the comment about the poor router performance. I also am using a 2 disc BT whole home for the WiFi and get much better performance. Only issue is that I have had to keep the now broadband WiFi on as well as there are connectivity issues between the bt discs and sky q mini boxes.

Baneeshuk

I have poor mobile signal in my house, so it's useful for me

Skybird

I wouldn't let the free anytime calls away me. I'm getting unlimited calls for £3/month on my mobile with 3 network.

ReverendMelon

Always remember when looking at their claimed speeds that there’s a massive difference between MB and Mb. The first is Megabytes and the second more commonly quoted number for fibre speeds is Megabits. To covert megabits into megabytes divide by 8. Eg I am on normal broadband and I get 4MB download speeds as measured by Steam downloads. If I went for the NowTV 63Mb option that’s actually 8MB, so roughly double my current download speeds. That said Sky claim my current broadband average speed should be nearer 6MB. Caveat emptor.

Its a shame the cashback is not for existing customers, but still a great deal, only vodaphone comes close to this price point from the big companies.

vishyuk

Is it still the case? No cashback with TCB?

If he connects with cable already then the powerlines won't make and difference. Sorry. Only if he was connecting by Wi-Fi. :|

AngelDelight78

I’m not sure. Maybe you’re right. My son has to use cables to connect from the router box to his PS4 and even them the speed is low or cuts out. But I will try the power line cables. Would you be kind enough to recommend the one you used please? Thank you.

Did just that, got my dad to sign up in his name, selected the £100 credit and quidco has tracked at £130. Will cancel the order in my name today. Cheers everyone.

gadgetcake

Depending on how much better this offer is your better bet is to cancel entirely and start again

fossman

I am in my third year with Virgin, I am paying the same price as I was paying TalkTalk for faster fibre broadband but am now getting four times the speed. The price increases are a pain but if you ring up they will freeze your price until the end of your contract.

tom6195

Ahh you reckon. What you think I should do

gadgetcake

Agree with what @bigack said, VM are telling you a total lie. You don't tell them you're going to do it. Cancel. Then your partner applies as a new customer and sets the start date same as your end date. Customer services are never going to tell you it's ok, it's a totally legal loophole, but a loophole nonetheless

It’s big joke, avoid like a plague, I ordered 9th of May and got confirmation email from someone who posted deal earlier here , I am already a Vodafone customer and used Vodafone bb 2 years ago , on talktalk now, never ever failed any credit before any pay bill on time and excellent credit history , now this cowboys telling me when I call chat line to inquire about my router delivery and progress they can’t find any order , than she called her supervisor to get answer and after 30 min they said that my credit is failed and ordered did not go through, what a joke!, credit failed for broadband when I’m already got phone contract from Vodafone ?, than lady asked me some silly question like have you changed your address or failed to pay any bill etc. total scrap and timer waster, they don’t bother to send you email that credit check is failed and order did not go through, chat advisor gave me another Vodafone number for further inquiry but that number is like endless loop , It reminded me the Dr strange & doormamu scene from the marvel movie, I feel so relief that it’s even better it failed credit check, I don’t want any tied up to any company for next 2 year who’s pain in the a** , I think I’m saved , Thank you Vodafone for not selecting me into the hell , sorry for type it’s very quick

I will be out of contract with my current provider at the end of the month and looking to move. I 've been looking online for what's available to me , I don't have unlimited funds, and it looks like the best priced providers are the ones with the worst track record. Regarding voucher offers I have read the forum posts on Vodaphone etc. And there appears to be a lot of complaints with the provision of the voucher , mainly the £100 offer which will be at its 120 day payout date for many. I won't be relying on on the payout of offers , not directly from the service provider, and that also includes offers of cashback from Tcb or Quidco both of whom I have had cashback declined in the past. Consider these as a bonus if they are honoured.

Could you postpone the installation date?

BargainHunter108

That is the exact deal I had. You will be paying just £1 more but it is still best out there in terms of cost when you consider the anytime calls included which also includes mobile(for me atleast it does). Also consider that my deal is almsot over a year and half old so just an increase of £1 on that is not bad. I might consider it myself when it comes to renewing.

Called now tv got counter offer 32mb broadband free calls and 3 month movies 22.99m do I stay with now tv or go with vodafone with faster broadband

wdh

I am also on the lookout for an Anytime calls package (even though the prices are generally uncompetitive with mobile Anytime packages). eg BT - take their broadband and add anytime landline calls for £15/month or £5/month to add a mobile sim with unlimited minutes! I believe NOW routinely offer Anytime-inclusive packages (at least inclusive for the initial contract term). BUT BUT BUT the "Community" section of their website (Broadband bit) has many tales of woe about NOW's ineptitude or carelessness in failing to allow new customers to keep their old landline number. Oddly, especially if they were moving from Sky! For the same reason I am looking for an Anytime package, I also really NEED to keep the old number! Also be aware that NOW (and Sky) insist that you use their router, on which the WiFi seems to be poorer than usual. (They won't supply credentials for you to input into a better router.) And with some of their routers having just two ethernet ports, your first purchase might be an ethernet hub/switch, so that you have a clear socket to which you can connect your better-wifi (Access Point, Mesh, whatever). And their customer support seems to have gone completely AWOL during lockdown. I don't think I am brave enough!

wellhellothere

There might be cashback with quidco or tcb then, keep a eye out, I managed to get £180 back (TCB mistake 😁) and pay £18 a month.

My first charge that showed up on the app as soon as my connection got activated was £24 but bill was yet to be generated. I immediately call up asking for a clarification. At first the CS rep asked did you sign up from MoneySupermarket’s site to which I said I don’t remember but it wasn’t from VM site. To that the rep said it was a pricing mistake & they weren’t honouring it. I was a bit worked up but quickly remembered that during my signup when I had called the Philippines CS I had asked them to put in a note on my account mentioning the £14 revolving credit. So I asked the rep to refer to notes on my account & he immediately apologies & said the credit didn’t apply automatically for some reason but he’ll correct it. I hung up & checked a few days later & a £14 credit appeared. Now I just need to check if it automatically applies next month also so I can rest assured for the remaining months. Hope this helps anyone not seeing the credit & wanting to contact CS.

Sorry to hear the problems people are having. They appear to have got my bill right somehow. Well apart from the partial bit, that's a little odd.

So after a huge number of delays I was finally connected yesterday but partly my own fault as I picked 1st of May as the installation date. The connection is fine but not happy as it required four different appointments, with four different poking around my flat not wearing masks! To be honest I felt a bit bad with it going ahead at this time but I did wear a masks. They even entered the front garden of my elderly neighbour whilst he was sunbathing without wearing masks either.

I’m with Vodafone on an unlimited 5G SIM I get discounted through work and using a Huawei B525 LTE Cat6 (4G+) Router with it. Vodafone can sell you a package like this though, if you don’t want to DIY it. My flat is in a bad spot as is just in the turn of a road cutting of the best of a Vodafone 5G signal and the orientation of my flat means my windows point away from said best signal points. Despite this I get around 90Mb/s download (a little less than VM) and about 40mb/s upload (a heck of a lot more than VM). It best of all the service has been much more reliable than VM which also had regular downtime for me too! It also has added benefits too like I loaned my broadband to a friend the other week when her VM went offline and she had important exams to study for. I dropped it off on my way to work and picked it up on the way home. I also took it to my parents for Christmas. Three also offer broadband this way, as well as I think EE now too. So check the Offcom mobile signal checker to see your best options and then shop around for the best deal. One thing to note though, you want a proper plug in router for this, don’t let them sell you a MiFi device. Those are for occasional mobile. You want a robust router for use at home, and I’d recommend an option with network ports.

Hi, thanks for your reply, looking at the Vodafone super fast 62Mb for the price of 36Mb for 24 months, it’s like £22,not too clear whether they might up the price per month during this duration

GemLisa

Hiya, I had 0.75 Mb speed but that was due to the area I live in. I was expecting it to be at least 2Mb as the post office never gave me the actual speed in my contract so I rang them to say they had not put in black and white the actual speed, but they weren’t interested, so put up with them for the year, now looking at maybe Vodafone fast fibre 62Mb for £22 odd, however it is a 24 month contract and also not quite sure if the monthly payments may increase during the time.

So now im tied into a minimum contract at 30 quid a month for TV alone because they put my price on TV and broadband up from 62 quid to 102 quid. Took the plunge on this package after unsuccessfully trying to get Sky to do a good Fibre deal, with TCB £100 cashback. Did anyone else who got this through TCB got it tracking at £80 with this message?: This merchant initially tracks at a lower rate. When the merchant has checked the purchase they will uplift the cashback value to the amount offered.

Not sure if OFCOM have wound back the rules or if broadband companies have made the increases more visible in T&C's to make a binding contract that's acceptable to them but I'll find out when my supplier increases my bill by CPI.. In Martin Lewis we trust :)

No? I think they mean what you agreed as in the exact price you signed up at. Bt increased the price by standard inflation, yet we could all leave and they emailed us to inform we could. Some company's "i think plusnet" brag about not putting the price up during contract, but it's simoly to avoid dealing with cancellations mid contract due to ofcom rules. It's not a secret, it's all about who you speak to and also how you speak to them. It's about being kind and showing respect and that is half your job done, the rest depends on your negotiating skills (technique)

Kp090

You need to share the secret lol

TheHun6

Yes, but if you were on weekend calls before, what it should also have said under the section "What you're currently on" it should have mentioned that bit, but it doesn't. It's a dirty, sneaky thing to do because looking at this you would be thinking that you would be getting everything you had before, plus perhaps a speed upgrade. Where I live, there's no benefit to upgrading to Infinity 2 either because the quoted speeds are exactly the same. I got a phone call from BT before my contract ended and told them about this and the best they could offer me was the same £21.99 deal I was on before but without weekend calls and locked into a 2 year contract with two guaranteed price increases. They weren't prepared to better the deal, but suggested I give their "Customer Loyalty" team a call which I did. After quoting them the cheaper Post Office Fibre deal with the gift card and lower monthly cost and the Vodafone Gigafast 200MB for not much more they reduced the price to £19.99, but without upgrading to Infinity 2, which I said made no difference anyway. I'm still using their cloud storage and the WiFi hotspots do come in handy from time to time. The McAfee software is pretty comprehensive too. I was seriously contemplating moving away from the Openreach FTTC network and migrating to Vodafone on the CityFibre FTTP network, but being the only current ISP on board, I can't afford to be let down with customer service issues, as I rely on my broadband for home working. Hopefully in another 2 years, more ISP's may come on board the CityFibre FTTP platform by then making migration between providers a lot less traumatic should I need to ditch and switch.

Tried it, they wouldn't do anything for me, EE are putting mine up, currently pay £13 for the entertainment pack on Sky, £3 for Sky mobile & £26 for anytime calls (landline and mobiles) & unlimited broadband with EE , total of £42, Sky can do the same deals for £41 - not worth me swapping for a quid

i just got broadband + phone anytime calls + sky entertainment pack + Netflix + HD + Kids : £44 / month given i was paying quite a lot with BT (£29.99) for just phone and broadband i think this is a good deal, what do people say?

Still there for existing customers, what a rip off, will try and get it sorted today but no option but to stay with Sky as no other way to view at the races.channel.I did enquire about the deal listed here ( for leverage) but the sky rep said no such deal on their system and price was £45.Submitted 30 days notice to cancel and looking at BT TV as an option as a racing channel is included in packages.

More of a virgin man myself but thought for a complete TV broadband & phone calls package it was a decent price
