Any chance of you coming round my house and stringing a fibre to the exchange? I'll give you a thousand pounds if I can get fttp.

i had a talktalk doorstep seller telling me that only they could give me the fastest speeds in my street i him let bluff and bluster (ie fib) for 15mins before showing him my openreach id and then corrected him on about 70% of his "facts"

It doesn't work the same, they have a dedicated British team dealing with the requests for FTTP "Future Fibre", they can do it even if their website doesn't allow it as long as the infrastructure in there it'll be fine ... TBH the hardest thing is making sure openreach update their database correctly

Yes but they should recognise I have FTTP, if they work thesame as most call desk people it will be a case of ,if the system says youhaven't got it they can't process it.

You have to call them apprently its over the phone only

Aahh, ok, thanks. That'll be why I couldn't see it then (y)

The opt in bonus (+£25) was only live until 9th May, I think.

Where do you see the £25 broadband opt in bonus?

Just a general upgrade in the area. Openreach are being pretty aggressive with their roll out now and they tend to be less selective than other companies as to who they supply. I hope you get it sorted out soon

Deffo, but not for me as i can only get 16Mbps at my house (annoyed)

Only £1 a month more for the faster package which seems a decent option.

That's what I used as well, no issues.

A brief search shows pre-owned buy-it-nows from £38.00 and sold prices starting from £22.98. If you’re prepared to put a bit of work in and look for a bad listing - people just list them as Sky Broadband Hubs without realising that the SR203’s are worth far more than other Sky hubs - you will find one cheap. I’ve bought three of these in the past, a used one for £17 and two new ones for £18 and £23 respectively. Beware of people putting the old hub in the new box, you need to check the photographs on the listing.

Hi Tince, Thanks. I will try to put in a claim on Monday if there is no sign of tracking by then. The claim form asks for the order number. I don't see any order number after I signed the contract. Should the NOW TV account number be enough?

I called yesterday to cancel. Today they called me back on my mobile and offered £25/month for 100mb broadband + a sim with 5gb of data and unlimited calls. 18 month contract. I'm torn between staying on this new deal or moving to Now Broadband which is £25/month & 17mb upload. I currently pay £5/month for my sim with ID Mobile. The Virgin service has been really poor in my area in the last year - we've had many outages.

what sort of ping (latency) are you getting on the SH4?

Wow, really worked in your favour

MSE link: Equivalent to £18.74/m over the 12 month contract Nice short 12m deal £24.99/m with £75 auto bill credit

Must say I'm still waiting for my broadband to go live since 3rd March. Apparently OpenReach keep rejecting the order saying my address is wrong and neither Shell or Open reach can seem to sort it out. Quite annoying but luckily I'm not in a rush for it.

The applicable bill credit will automatically be applied to customers accounts within 90 days of the service being provisioned where the following eligibility criteria are met on the date the credit is applied: ■ Customer must have signed up during the MSE Promotional Period through ■ Customer must not have cancelled or be in the process of cancelling their Shell Energy broadband product and ■ Customer must not have any overdue charges on their Shell Energy broadband account

Some ppl saying it don't get added to after 3 months hope this is the case

Came here to check the same. No credit so will try and contact them tomorrow

Did anybody get the 75 bill credit as I can't seem to see it

RESULT!!! Got the call back the next day & offered £14/pm for an 18 month contract to stay on the same 100M package that I’m on currently. Thanks a lot for your advice 8)

yes you can but sometimes the change of number isn't always successful, so it would change.

Hi I would really appreciate if somebody can advise My parents are paying eye watering of £85 to these scum virgin for broadband,TV, phone line and sim card I spoke to them today and they willing to offer me £55 for all the above on a 18 month contract Now we only need broadband and phone-in and as new customer its £35 a month My question is can I keep the same house landlines number if I switch to a new contract on my mother's name? Thanks

To be fair even if it did go up by £3.50 it would still be a good deal.... but I will still try to renegotiate :D
