Got a couple of these after a recent water pipe break in the house , while we were drying out the rooms it pretty much matched all the readings of the professional jobby the assessor left for us so from me

    Are they wireless? Connectable?
    Or just stand alone?
Would like to be able to see status online or app

For those who want WiFi enabled versions, I picked up some of the Tuya ones from Aliexpress. They run on 2 x AAA battery.

Good range and cheap ~ £4/£5 each. (edited)

I bought one of these 2 years ago. I wouldn't buy another. Despite one of the pictures saying "Fast response. 10-Second refresh for the most accurate readings", it has to be the slowest reacting thermometer I've ever used, close to useless. Maybe it's quick enough for humidity but for temperature it's glacial. I put it in the freezer to test it. 15 minutes later it was still reporting +10C but had frost forming on it!

An analogue mercury thermometer would be ten times quicker, as would those LCD temperature strips.

To be fair it does seem fairly accurate unless the temperature is changing when it lags considerably, so if you're just interested in the max and min it might be ok for you. (edited)

I've had several of these around the house for a few years and they're excellent. Battery lasts for ages and the screen is clear and easy to read.

I currently have four of these, all a few years old now and would definitely recommend them.

I use them for a quick visual indication of temp & humidity and to calibrate all my Aqara zigbee sensors to control portable heaters, fans and dehumidifiers through HA.

    This is a great price

Don’t forget if you have a HomePod you can now look at the temp using that as it has an internal sensor including humidity

I've had mine for three years now. Pretty good!

Be cautious with these if you’re using in a high humidity area - the battery terminals on mine corroded quite badly in a room in the house with humidity issues (hence the hygrometer). Also be aware that the humidity accuracy at low humidity isn’t great (when compared with industrial quality devices)

If only it had clock also
    Sanity's avatar
Why is it so hard to find one of those that would have a clock also?

Because I really want to know how cold I am because I can't afford to turn the heating on

I've checked every room in my house today and none of them are over 40% humidity - no need to buy a Meaco now!

Picked up a couple of these along with a dehumidifier after our flat roof garage gave up the ghost last year with some of that bad weather. They seem to be really accurate. We currently have one in the living room, one thing that's bugging me though is the fact I can't get the smiley face to appear comfort next to it even though it is in temperature and humidity range! There are worse things to worry about however

For me, i'm mostly looking for:
    -Wireless sensor
    -Indoor + Outdoor temp/humidity sensors
    -Clock

I keep the outdoor sensor in my shed and it gives me a good sense of how the day outside will be.

I lost mine so bought the TP357 which is currently on offer for 9.99 at Amazon. The Bluetooth range is impressive (kept mine in the shed to monitor temp and humidity for a while) and the graphs are accurate and brilliant. See what happens to the humidity when you just open a door.
