One of the greatest multiplayer racers ever made. Similar to micro machine with weapons. Fun single player but the reason to buy is the local multiplayer mode. It's an old game but runs on just about anything.

    Once you have sorted out controls it runs beautifully on the steam deck. Played for over an hour with friends connected to a tv and only 25% battery was used.

    If you don't fancy playing the single player to unlock the maps for multiplayer use the followng code at the main menu to unlock everything

    Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Down, Up, Down

    How have you sorted the weird physics bugs? I tried this a few months back and jumps are a real headache that ruined the experience for me. This was on the Deck too.

    Worth taking a look at the community guide to ‘upgrading’ it to fully loaded. The jumps in the original build are infuriating.

    Loved this game on PS2, used to have hours of fun with 3 mates and a multitap. Wish they'd do a HD remaster, update it a bit and throw in some new tracks.

    One of the best games ever made. Never fails to make people laugh, cry, and wail as they get shot by a missile.

    Unbelievable that there's no modern equivalent.

    I've played Mashed since the PS2 and own it on Steam.

    As good as this is I think it hasn't aged well...whereas BlazeRush is a brilliant successor to this and runs great on the deck.

    Thanks will check it out! Felt exactly the same about Mashed, remembered it being awesome on the Xbox but now it just feels awful.
