Another reason I buy mutti as they are better quality , better tasting , and they don’t use a labour force linked to modern day slavery

Interesting to know, how do you know Mutti are different?

I guess the people that rave about these also rave about the totally overrated Crispy Creme donuts.
    etcuk's avatar
I mean I wouldn’t rave about them but they do have 99.8% tomato compared to everything else at around 70% at best. They do have a lot of salt though.

Decent, rarely see these for under £1

These Italian toms are the best in the business, but I'm downgraded to Aldi's which work out about 40p a tin and are pretty decent too. Do the job well enough for me

Amazing for homemade pizza, 1/2 tsp salt, a dribble of olive oil and that’s it. We use these as a base sauce for pasta dishes, curry and they’re great (edited)

    No basil?

Cheers. Ordered, but last time I ordered these, most went in the bin as they were bent well out of shape (refunded though(y) )

If they weren’t split open, when bin a dented tin?

Think il stick with morrisons chopped toms for 35p tin
    bunker4's avatar
No comparison I’m afraid. You get what you pay for in this case.

Hooray, the world's most overrated tinned tomatoes!
    waysqu's avatar
Yep they are! lol but for this price it's worth while getting.

I use these and also the cirio polpa fine toms. They are identical and the Cirio is currently 75p in most places, half price. I use these to top pizzas in the ooni oven. Pasta amazing with a bit of basil, salt and olive oil!
    bunker4's avatar
Snap. Amazing on my pizzas on the Ooni.

Excellent tomatoes. Worth the extra money above the usual brands. Had some delivered recently on my last S&S order.

Waitrose possibly still have the more expensive Cherry tomato variety on offer @ £1.20 per can currently. Not tried them yet. (edited)

Love all the people sans palate saying 'ow much, I can get tinned toms from aldi for 19p', as if the two things are even remotely similar. It is like saying the cheap chocolate you get at a fairground is the same stuff as lindt.
    GoWokeGoBroke's avatar
Find "Polpa", in any supermarket? Problem is most people in England do not know what Polpa is, or the difference from chopped tomatoes, is it worth the extra Money in my opinion? NO. I do know it is a differnet process, and the costs are higher, and i personally love POLPA, (edited)

I love mutti or cirio polpa tins, but anything above 35p a tin is not value.
    whats_the_deal's avatar
Where do you get cuirio for that cheap? Cirio good for most purposes, but this is better and yes it does cost more.
