Anyone know whether this would be subject to April price increase given it's so soon? Some carriers specifically say but can't see anything on Vodafone's site
Unfortunately, this deal has expired 21 March 2023.

sorted by- AuthorNot Vodafone, no, if purchased after 24th Feb no increases In April
- Ive not done this for a long time, but im already a Vodafone customer on a sim only rolling contract, once i order this, how do I transfer my mobile number over? (edited)There is an upgrade deal with the same offer.
I've done it three years in a row. You basically enter your phone number during checkout and it automatically updates your current plan. No need to mess about porting your number.
Bizarrely even on the upgrade deal they still send you a physical SIM card. But I just throw it in the bin. - “Claiming your cashback couldn’t be simpler” ……er, I beg to differ, what a faffIt literally takes 2 minutes.
Download your bill. Go to the cashback section and click upload. Select your bill. Click ok.
Done.
Not a faff at all. Just put a reminder in your phone for the months you need to claim on. - I need this contract to start in about 3 weeks. Generally I have seen that they send a SIM with a plan that starts on the day it is shipped?
Is it possible to delay that? Has anybody got any experience with this.. please let me know.Unfortunately not. The SIM is activated the day they process the order and ship the SIM.
For the sake of £8.50 though. A 3 week overlap isn't a huge financial loss I guess. (edited) - FYI Sim received today and thought I'd double check the April price rise situation with VF. Their chat confirmed that it would be subject to this April's increase I linked to MSE and even their forum which matched Mr Switch's 24th Feb cut off but they said it would be subject to this April's increase unfortunately. I'll check again in case it's a rogue chat but will likely be cancelling as pushes price up quite a bit.
If you've signed up worth checking direct as obvs have 14 day cooling off period - Crap network coverage where we live (edited)Are we sharing network stories?
EE network have crap coverage where we live. - I can't see any info on if this Sim offer has a speed cap. Is it Unlimited max data?Yep. There's no speed cap.
- Anyone know the process for porting existing number from different provider (EE for me, 3 for the wife). I’m assuming I do it when I receive the new simText PAC to 65075
It may come up with a message saying this text may be charged but it does that when texting short numbers, it won't charge.
It will send you a message with a PAC code that lasts 30 days and any charges remaining for that provider.
When you receive your new SIM just port that PAC over job done - Vodafone, Once the king and leader of pack for 4g network coverage and signal strength
Now 5g coverage so sparse and weak in strength
Definately no longer a leader of the pack.I find 5G in itself inconsistent. It has such a weak signal I get a solid signal on one side of my flat, but next to nothing on the other, and it feels like my phone is constantly jumping from 4G and 5G which overall just slows the connection.
Not sure whether network operators having to rip out Huawei kit had anything to do with it, but overall I'm getting fed up of 5G and just turn it off where I can. 4 is fast enough for me. - EU roaming included?AuthorNot in this one, no
- what an absolute credit to the HUKD community thanks for the contribution Mr SwitchAuthorVery welcome mate
- Ordered thanksAuthorMy pleasure mate
- Ordered thanks so if i am not wrong after £90 Cashback + £20 Tesco Gift mean it will be £6.80 a month?About £6.83 yeah.
- Thanks for this, upgradedInsane service here. Contract was switched within about an hour and the sim (which I don’t need) was with me at 9am
- The deal you posted a while back for the pixel 6a for £14 . You can upgrade to unlimited Data for £17pm with three app, thanks
- Are you able to take advantage of the VeryMe rewards scheme with this deal @MrSwitch?AuthorYeah
- I am still in a 12 month contract with mobiles with it coming to an end in May but I have one final cash back to claim in April.
Can I still take this contract out as mobiles did contact my partner who upgraded with me around the same time last May to offer a similar sim only deal as above?AuthorYou probably are able to, but I'd ring them first and ask. - I have serious issues with Vodafone in my area. Congestion, plenty of packet loss and multiple request timed out errors, using it as a data sim is near impossible in the afternoons and evenings. Despite complaining plenty of times, nothing has been done to resolve the issues.
Didn't have any problems before November, it's a serious PITA getting them to fix a major issue like this. (edited) - No free EU Roaming.
- Does Vodafone offers EU roaming? All UK networks offer EU roaming.
- The most inconsistent network ever for me. The same spot (my desk at work!) can be 3G, H, H+ and if I'm lucky 4g+ but always the same slow speed! I know it's great for some but at home and work it's useless for me. I'm going back to 3 as taken the Magic5 lite dealThey definitely switch off some masts at night to save power when demand is low.
- Ordered. Thanks OP. Just right time as I plan to cancel the O2 + Vrigin broadband (Volt) due to price hike.
- Tempted by this but Vodafone are also offering me 150Gb for £13 direct..Thats still a 50% increase over this SIM (extra £54 for year £156 total)
This is by far the cheapest especially if you include the £20 gift card (£82 total for the year) (edited) - What's the next best deal that offers EU roaming, Turkey would be an added bonus!I have this question too.
- Tesco only sell Gorceries online which is says can only be used online?
- I got the vodafone offer posted earlier on here - £7.50 after cashback - seems to indicate i have free EU roaming too….
off to spain end of the months will find out!do you have link for this offer (not hotukdeals link but actual link for the mobiles.co.uk website)? - I don't use anywhere near 100gb so the 30gb contract at £13 a month (£66 redemption + £20 Tesco gift card) works out £5.83 effective.
Very tempting
EDIT: Ignore this (edited)Do you have the link please for the deal which works out at £5.83 per month? Many thanks - @MrSwitch Ciao, do you think it would be possible for you or other deals editors to create a specific sim only thread focused specifically on UNLIMITED (plus 200gb data onwards) sim deals? That would help a lot people like me who are waiting to decide which contract is best after the CPI % increases are gone (AFAIK most raise them between March and April). That kind of thread, along with the Braodband ones, would come handy for comparing the best 12/18/24 month deals at time of posting it. Personally I keep on switching with 1 month payg deals but recently I got fibre connectivity eventually applied to my premises and now I got more choices and need to have a broader perspective of cost/benefits, you know what I mean. Cheers buddyAuthorIt's an idea definitely, but I think sticking to that kind of data would alienate some people, I've done a few Sim Only megathreads in the past, and am planning on doing another after the 1st April
- The £16 will change to £18.10 from next month I guess if you purchase it now?it won't, it says after 24th of feb.. no price increase in April
- Expired already?
- I’ve got Internet with Vodafone as well as my mobile I get a £3 discount because of this, will I still get my broadband discount if I upgrade to this deal
