Bought the 6 Pro, wouldn't touch another Pixel phone purely because the battery life is absolutely abysmal. I struggle to get to the end of the day without needing to recharge. And unfortunately it doesn't have the fastest charging speeds (advertises 23w, but actually charges around 16-18w in reality) to offset this

There must be an issue with your unit, I get nearly 1.5 days out of mine. That's surfing, music, nav, social media etc

Is the battery really that bad? Similar the pixel 6 Pro? I sent my 6 Pro back as it was like having a hot water bottle in your pocket. Ended up with the Nothing Phone 1 which to be fair, has been outstanding. Stock android same as what's on the pixel's and the battery has been brilliant. Easily 7+ hours screen on time. Only complaint is the camera is a little inconsistent but does improve with each update.

It's not good. It becomes clear after using it for a while that no effort was made at making it sip power. Other than the camera and screen (if the screen bothers you) the rest of the phone is low quality, including the finger-print reader. The phone is grossly overpriced for what it is.

Can anyone recommend a good screen protector? So many get good reviews on amazon, yet when you read the reviews they're not good.

Quadlock case and screen - wouldn't touch anything else.

Bargain price, I've upgraded from the P30 pro at launch with pre-order freebies, compared to my p30 pro I get roughly the same amount of battery life (Much better than Pixel 6).

Camera is amongst the best I've come across - I've just come back from 2 weeks trip and didn't miss my full frame camera as much, for reference my camera is an A7iv.

With a full charge I can easily last a day whilst on holiday with 30c plus day temperature and occasional photo and video, phone had dual sim with data active (Vodaphone Esim and physical local SIM).

Now the only negatives I can think of is once during the trip under midday sun in roughly 40c did the camera refuse to lunch as phone was overheating, Fast charging only occurs upto 70%, fastest charging always happens below 50% and 50%-80% is reduced fast charging and beyond 80% it is regular charging.

You can understand it not wanting to lunch in that heat!

Battery life is horrendous compared to some devices I owned a few years back, same with the charging speed been much slower (Huawei, One Plus, Samsung are some example manufacturers I am comparing them to). I got pulled in by the hype and the Pixel Watch promo at launch and wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone. Also my touch screen is randomly unresponsive until you exert the pressure of the gods upon thy screen. Good camera tech in the device and that's literally the only saving grace, save your hard earned cash and purchase a refurb of a much better device from 2 years ago with a good warranty.

I have the iPhone 13 Pro, if I use it a lot, at 14:00 it needs to be charged… same experience with different models of iPhones and android phones… so it really depends how you use it

Wondering to get this or the honor 50 got the pixel 5 , which has been better than my wife's pixel 6 pro especially in terms of reliability etc.

I really want a good camera. And I still think my Huawei p20 pro is better camera than my pixel 5. (edited)

It absolutely is, could upgrade to a P30 Pro for substantially less
