I moved form Three to O2, the speed has reduced but I'm finding the coverage has increased. Three gave me 700mb/s on 5G but O2 only give me about 100mb/s on 5G. But o2 give me roaming for free and if you have virgin at hoem you get double the data on the mobile and also the hoem broadband upgrade to the next week, plus o2 give me roaming in the USA, Canada and few other places for free.

tho you don’t get the doubling or Volt on virgin-branded mobile deals such as this, only o2…

O2 data speeds are so bad that these are basically unlimited data SIMs

I went from Tesco too O2 it was awful, swapped back to Tesco asap even though they share the same network it seems a lot faster 4G with Tesco for some reason

I'm counting the days left on my O2 contract so I can get shot of it. Absolutely appalling data speed and accessibly for me

    Would recommend voxi (Vodafone) instead

I do think 02 Signal is poor in my area, but the only reason I am not changing yet is the Double Virgin Broadband Speed boost for free.

O2 by the the best signsl around my way. EE have always been terrible, even when either T-Mobile or orange network.
Ironically we have a Vodafone mast some 800m away from the house, yet O2 network always been better.

Can vouch for this, same here, O2 has been spot on in my area - best signal and speed followed by Vodafone, and then EE

Given the amount of people that say how bad O2 is, I can’t believe they are still going. Maybe they just work on the basis of everyone trying them once. It could of course also be the fact that you can get two free Geggs coffees each week i.e. you can save more than the cost of the tariff.

How do you receive 2?!! I thought it was 1 coffee. Not that it matters, I'm looking to exit hastily

Probably a newbie question but can you transfer your number to this?

I've just moved away from O2 as a mast that is nearest my work (where I spend most of my day) is not providing data services and hasn't since February. An issue they can't fix so had to move

thats annoying..... I thought O2 was meant to merge with Virgin. O2 do 12 month contracts for this price, looks like Virgin is doing 1 month here?

They put me on a 12 month O2 contract.. price has just gone up too.. argg!

I'm with Sky mobile who are on o2, by far the best signal down here in West Sussex.

It really is luck of the draw with mobile providers. O2 are giving me great signal (5G) and the best speeds I've ever seen (around 70-90mbps) in my home town. I tried a bunch of operators and 3 were the worst with dead zones and no 5G signal at all.

I'm getting over 300Mbps on O2. Almost 5 times what I get from my Sky broadband.

People do realise that there’s not one 100 mile mast in the middle of the uk with all the same signal

Sure it’s been asked/mentioned before on other threads but can’t see it now I’m looking for it………

………..can you get and use O2 priority if I take a new virgin contract/number?

Since joining Virgin towards the end of last year, I have had all too frequent mobile data outages with absolutely no reception for hours at a time in various locations in and around London including central London. It is woeful. Also impossible to find a way of reporting or finding out from them what the issue is. Customer service is torture and they've now pulled Thier free WiFi access on the London Underground. Absolute joke of a service. The best they could offer was a one time waiving of my monthly bill, but it was like getting blood out of a stone. I'm waiting until I'm moved to the O2 contract to see if that allows me to access the O2 free WiFi networks on the tube. Perverse that they don't have a way of doing that straight away for Virgin Sims if they are going to pull the Virgin access. If nothing improves, I'm gone.

Sorry if this is obvious, I moved out of O2 to Lebara 3 months ago. If I get this offer, would that disqualify me for the giftcard?

I paid £298 to get rid of my 02 contract this month. Probably the worst company I have ever had. Only got it as a free sim with my Virgin media deal. Got an Iphone 14 pro max on 3 for £44 a month. Got them sitting side by side waiting for the number to port over. The iphone on 3 is sitting full strength 5g the 02 is sitting with no signal.
Absolute ridiculous signal in central belt of Scotland. Happy to go with 3 which so far has been flawless (edited)

thank you Sajidtg....have taken up the £7.95 offer just now. With Amazon gift card and the rollover allowance of up to 40GB for every month possible AND the best roam abroad fair usage policy of any provider with your entire uk gb contract....for me it was a win-win- win
