    Helmet for the head,
vest for the chest and back,
    what about the neck?

Helite turtle provides some support to the neck.

As the sales guys says "always wear one but hope you never have to use it".

Why are these so expensive? (edited)

When the bike costs £12,000 then £500 isn't so much more, and what price safety?..

Good deal thanks , but tbh I'm not convinced about the product compared to Helite vests. Those seem to cover much larger areas and provide more protection, especially around the neck (judging by the videos ofc). One advantage of this one is you can wear it under a jacket, too.
Even better I'm waiting for the Helite airbag backpack appearing in major shops, as I'll be commuting to the office and often will have a backpack on me: heliteuk.co.uk/pro…ck/

Thanks for posting this. I was not aware of this product. I had an early Hellite but couldn't get on with the phsical lanyard and sold it. I'll look out for some reviews as its a good option and would save me having to buy an airbag compatible jacket.

These airbags are good bits of riding safety kit.
I'm imagining with materials, sensors, batteries, air canisters, etc the cost can be justified to a degree by the manufacturers.
It would be nice to see the prices come down to open them up to more of a mass market though - they probably will, in time.
Heat for a discount and SportsBikeShop are a spot on company to deal with.

I would check refill prices too for canisters before buying. Dainese aren't the cheapest but I must agree they're quality is excellent
