I wouldn't believe the price quoted in -Amazon
But thought 30quid for a cabin case should be cheap and cheerful.

I got this from Ryman on a previous occasion and it’s blummin brilliant for the money. Quality is high, doesn’t scratch easily and it’s 8 wheel so upright and smooth rolling. It’s spacious inside with lid separator fabric and which can be zipped to split compartments or left as one. My girlfriend got an American Tourister similar size one at the same time for a tenner more also from Ryman and they’re comparable standard. (edited)

Ditto. It’s a fab case and fits as hand luggage for British Airways if anyone is wondering as I’ve taken it onboard when travelling with them.

Wish they'd give sizes in CM as used by most airlines

The description stated size in Inches not CM

This is obviously a cm or two bigger here or there than the strictest airline limits. I’m fine checking if asked to but does anyone have experience with how often people get asked to check fractionally oversized hand luggage on the bargain basement airlines? If I’m always going to get asked to check anyway I might as well take a larger bag on those occasions. (edited)

To be honest wad asked just once in Riga airport by some "suspicious staff" . Nowhere else.
I had that case with extra zip for extension, so they made me to close it and put in the check box) All the rest airports didn't care)

22.44 inch height is 57cm. I'm sure the biggest size accepted on any airline is 56cm let's hope the airlines don't check
