the 480gb model a much better deal and you wont struggle with it if using as a boot drive. Thanks to every app under the sun these days storing stuff in your profile folder in windows (plex is really bad for this) It will fill up too fast in 2023. £26.97 for 480gb is a bargain 4X the storage for less than 3X the price. Hell you could even fit a couple of games on there.

This is the lowest it's been which I also posted/bought for the same price a couple of years ago, so makes it a deal for this specific size/requirement but if anyone needs 500GB,
£24.92 - 500GB Crucial BX500 is a real deal, tbh £26.97 is standard price these days for 480/500GB. (edited)

Brought one these last time they were this cheap. Installed it as an extra drive in my daughters PC.

PNY stuff has always been super reliable for me and I have a PNY GPU, usb stick ,SSD'S, battery pack and SD cards.

No such thing as reliable data storage - always make a back up of any important data

Could this be used as an external hard drive and if so what would I require to adapt it to perform this task and would it require much technical knowledge.

Ridiculously cheap. Very few excuses to have a HDD as a boot drive nowadays. Cheers for spotting this, @Brutes . A cheap low-end SSD for sure, but for less than a tenner? I'll be grabbing a couple now!

I use one as a Raspberry Pi boot drive, far more reliable / faster than the SD card option

the 256 gb mac mini is £649
the same mac mini with 512 gb is £849

mac mini doesn't allow users to change the parts to save a fortune by putting in things like this

when you purchase this, just remember, somwhere out there, there is a barista punching the air in frustration because their mac ran out of Hard drive space

I currently dug out a 15 year old Acer Netbook running an Intel Atom and attempted to put Windows 10 on it as an experiment, to my surprise it runs really well and much better than the Windows 7 Starter that came with it. I wonder if this will fit it? It's been a great little browser and word processor over the years.

Not to mention power saving too. No tangible moving parts. Good price, just too little storage for me. Heat

240GB I guess is still too little storage, but it can be had for £18.78!

Great price, tempted, however I notice the 240GB is £18.78 - for me this is the better deal!
Of course I'll probably end up buying a few of each anyway - rude not to at these prices!

Great price, but most should consider 256GB as a minimum.
For me and if you keep your installation at a minimum it boosts any aging desktop or laptop.

Bloomin eck. Great deal, but the 480 gb works out at like £6.75 per 120gb so that's an even better deal. This is great though if you want to just boost an old laptop. (edited)
