    At this price range you should be getting a series X or PS5. It’s “go big or go home” with a PC and this isn’t anywhere near big enough.

    Curve Ball Deal....
    - it is an excellent deal on its entire own.

    but im calling it the curve ball of the 3060 we speak on.

    if u are this user: i buy windows direct, yup ur out there.

    Dont!. because if u do..

    ------> palicomp.co.uk/amd…c10

    its £800 VS £660

    Thats £140.00

    3060 -> 3060Ti
    500GB -> 1TB
    A520 -> B550
    No o/s -> Os.

    The motto is: looking for a Ti deal, get that ti deal, and if ur a system with windows too,  then might as well get a ti deal.
    and if u happy to do windows urself and desire a ti u might as well still get that ti deal as it's that good, but if ur not happy to obtain and u dont need windows then this 3060 is great.

    Hi, I'm looking for a PC for a good all rounder, would this £800 deal be good or would you upgrade anything further? Thank you

    Just so people are aware, I seem to have successfully used the voucher on the £800 "Velocity" deal. The voucher says "Adrenalin" only but the discount went through. Palicomp may decide to do something about it but I don't imagine they'd cancel the order. We'll see.

    IS it possible to completely turn off the RGB on the fans as I can't stand it or would I need to buy replacement fans if I wanted no RGB ?
    bananabandana's avatar
    bananabandana
    Just swap the case. You can probably get something better since rgb tends to come at a premium? Though someone here might be able to give you a good case suggestion. If you go to the link they gave a huge case selection.

    There’s some good info in these comments. I know very little about pc gaming but I do know someone that wants to use creative 2.0 for Fortnight and his gaming console has just become a frustration because it looks like it’ll never get it. He now wants a gaming pc.

    First thing is to work out a comfortable budget.

    once u have obtain an idea of budget, then come back.

    consideration:

    1) self build, easy enough and a lovely task to do with your son where u can both learn
    2) not interested in building, for x what ever reason, = prebuilt system it is.

    so if its a prebuilt system a) one with windows load and activated b) one without windows if its cheaper to add in ur self (depending on deal)

    other things to consider: fact-finding; why a PC, whats caught his attention. is it RTX? (graphical way) is streaming? is it a certain game only on PC, is it steam? or modding certain games.

    more information and we can help on site to help u.

    I have this same build and it'll run everything ultra at 60fps or above (most are capped to 144 FPS with the exception of COD MW2 which sits about 100-110 FPS. Mostly use for RL at 250 FPS

    excellent price RTX3060 Machine

    Take for example 12400F/TX550 at total of £55

    = 660 +55 =715 Ebuyer: 12400F/3060 at £829.00 and many more like that end of price.

    "so u can use that £100 and go higher parts or enjoy the value.

    obvious moving away from RTX3060 i have other ideas ive shown.

    @sarden84 this looks like a cracking deal! Thanks for posting.

    I am looking to use this for a bit of gaming and music production.

    What upgrades do you recommended and in which order priority wise as I'm trying to not overspend

    Would this be capable of running 3 screens?

    Which case would you recommend for silent operation?
    Sarden84's avatar
    Sarden84 Author
    Good QS.

    on this 12400F/TX550.

    The card has 1 HDMI, and 3 Display ports. (ensure monitors have DP)

    680+30+25-20discount = 715
    **Add some more ram in laters ur self a sweet 32GB, easily done.

    Storage wise: 1TB S70 at £40, thats a gen 4 High end write/spec System, 100% goer for that B660 Wifi board than A520 standard.

    Key things to note: do windows urself.

    totals upfront at : 680+30+25-20+40=755..

    How many bucks over that do u have, because we could increase CPU for production, we can add more ram now, We can upgrade the graphics for a higher gamer.

    that £755 will give a solid base.

    Case Wise: +25 Gamemax Silent.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The above is a website deal, with a QS back to you?.

    -------------------------------------------------------

    Palicomp does have a management deal its £88, refuse it and they offer it at £68.00

    Your aware of this, your aware of website prices.

    1) order stock at £680 -£20

    Wait for the pitch, Refuse, when they email u at £68.00

    This is where u go in with the kill on the boosters,

    a) major aim is ull get atleast one of the boosters, this one usual has the TX550 last i saw, so that is £25 swallowed of that £68

    68-25 = 43

    so a balance of £43 for extra warranty, higher card n some other garbo, now its about accepting it at £68 but with some terms, we can exchange that stock cooler to be Bequiet, so thats the request u can do.

    in ur case, if u like my example on the game max silent case, this is where u can go,

    But before u fully agree upon ur own pitch back, u ask how much extra for 12400F/B660M booster.
    How much extra for +1TB S70 or price of 1TB Samsung Pro

    in the end, u taken this "£88" rubbish package.
    down to "68"

    U have "25" u was going for anyways.

    "u accept the "£68" if u can push on a 1) cooler for others 2) case for u.

    in the end u have 2x25 items in that package of £68 u going for.

    balance of £18 for higher warranty, better card, and whatever else u want, and if u can work on the individual prices on them other boosters, even if it's £1 / £2 / £3 on each item, we mention above.

    that drops the gap of £18, site aint live, so things do change over time.

    ------------------------

    Another area we can go, and a QS back. would u consider an AMD card for the Gamer as we could look at a nice 8Core spec depending on ur budget. (edited)

    Would this run Assetto Corsa (not ACC) at 120 FPS on a quest 2 or valve index? I only want to do sim drifting. I have been looking at the 3080 backdoor builds you have been putting up for around 1.2K but I'm not sure if they are overkill or not. There are so many options!

    In fact with this link and a few tweaks - £1.2k u can upgrade to an
    i5 and 3080 10GB
    OR
    an i7 and 3060 8GB

    Which beggars the question - for my use case scenario which is better? Better processor or better GPU ? Or is this build fine for AC on VR as is?

    Many thanks if anyone can advise (edited)

    Despite the 3060 coming with 12Gb its a false market at first, but then Nvidia did the lower Ram 3060 and offered it with less performance too. = make there own market (idiots)

    answer for u: 3080...

    The cpu is too over powerful for a balance system per value basis being with a 3060 just for that.

    If we were talking something like

    5700X + 3060Ti vs 5600 +3070
    or
    13400F +3060To vs 12400F+3070 = same cost.

    this is when it comes tighter, as one way will benefit one type of user and another someone else.

    as the CPU is nonimal and the GPU is nonimal, but what ur asking this isnt the case.

    have u seen the hellfire? (edited)

    Fisted the kumquat on this after musing over it since it was posted

    Went for the 12400, b660 and 550w gold PSU. was going to swap out my old PSU but it's a little long in the tooth. Also swapped out the case for something more conservative.

    Played some email tennis afterwards and got big discount on the warranty/free goodies. They even tried Qjump for £25 whichni turned down (edited)

    Boosted as follows:
    GameMax F15 Mesh
    i5 12400F + B660M-A Wifi
    Corsair 550W Gold

    All in £890. Cracking deal in my view.

    Hi Sarden,

    I’m really really tempted to get this for my little brother. Do you have any boosters or back doors for some hard drive or getting the storage to at least 1TB?

    And boosters for the ram to 32gb and some recommendations for a decent cooler will be amazing! Thank you so much. ❤️

    Ram: Best to pitch them on the prices of 32GB, offers i got with ram change CPU too.
    - ram has come down since on the gap from 16 -> 32GB so pitch them.

    +1TB S70 on site, again another area.

    So id pitch them,

    Would u consider an AMD system or heart set on 3060? (streamer?)

    Sarden84's avatar

    Gaming and streaming at 1080 on a 3060 offer comfortable performance, Nvidia Cards are excellent.

    However, I must warn you, if u have £140 more which isn't just because of the graphics either.
    The 3060Ti offers a fantastic increase in performance all around.

    link is: AMD VELOCITY

    Base £680 -£20
    VS £800 link

    No OS -> O/S
    500GB -> 1TB
    A520 -> B550 (great for keeping to 5600X more then this) (more people are tend to be picking the 12400F)
    3060 -> 3060Ti

    so nice boost in cost, but an overall very lovely increase.

    so Answer to ur QS, Yep and itll do a lovely job, (loads of videos on the tube so check out that search term), (edited)

    I am after an amateur machine learning rig and I have decided on the 3060 for its 12GB of VRAM. This seems like a decent deal. I wish there was a better CPU as these are pretty much on par with my laptop's 5800H. Should I go AMD or Intel for AI/ML stuff?

Is there anymore deals like this as have no idea how to find them on the website, I imgaine none of the discount codes Ive seen in your othe deals work on this one to get money off?
