These were posted via Sports Direct back in January at £499, although I'm not sure if collection with an option there as it wasn't mentioned. I assume the final price may have been £519.98.

Either way, they are £80 cheaper than the £499 price point with code OUTLET20

The Cobra XL Speed set is the perfect starter set that comes with everything you need to be golf course ready. The set includes a full bag of clubs including a driver, fairway, hybrid, irons, and a premium blade putter. Each of the woods come with headcovers.

Individual Club Descriptions:
  • Driver: A 10.5-degree titanium driver has an oversized shape and back weighting for easy launch and increased forgiveness.
  • Fairway: A 3-wood features a shallow profile and back weighting to promote a higher launch from every lie.
  • Hybrid: A 5 hybrid replaces a longer iron in the set for improved gapping and more forgiveness on longer approach shots.
  • Irons: The irons (6-PW, SW) feature a classic cavity back design that delivers effortless launch and distance.
  • Blade Putter: A premium blade putter design features a machined face for exceptional feel and control on long and short putts. The putter is equipped with a high-quality synthetic leather headcover and an aftermarket Lamkin grip.

Be a little careful, particuarly spending this sort of money. I'm not saying this isn't great value, just that golf isn't a generic thing where any club will do.

It will save you alot of money in the long run to take the hit on being fitted for the right golf clubs for you. If you've only just started (I haven't but am bad enough to be in that category!) you'd be better buying 2nd hand and getting a year under your belt and then being fitted.

    Just my view

I find picking the ball up and walking to the hole, and then simply dropping it in is MUCH easier than using these sticks to hit it in. Top tip.

Looks like a good deal, I presume it's just for the clubs

Thought it was 480 in costco, was stuck at that price for over a year

These are ok but build quality generally not up to standard as the main models. They won’t hold any value so if you’re sick after a year then it’s a waste. Find a good 2nd hand set on eBay and put some new grips on although can be tricky for a beginner when you don’t know what you’re looking for.
