Peaceful stay or perfect stopover
Whether you’re on a short stopover from Calais or planning a longer stay, there’s plenty to explore at La Bien-Assise, a peaceful parc that’s set in the the grounds of a French château.

Unleash the explorer within and discover the parc’s wooded grounds and spacious pitches, or venture into the rural setting beyond (the parc actually organises walks in the surrounding woods). If you fancy testing your water wings, take a trip to nearby Lac d’Ardres to try out some water sports or head to the coast to enjoy beaches and bustling resorts. Back on this small parc, you’ll find all the facilities you need, including a welcoming restaurant, a covered pool, and a water slide for the kids.

Why you'll love this parc
  • Hop off the ferry at Calais and it’s a short trip to the parc
  • Grab a bite to eat at the authentic French restaurant
  • Relax by the château, take a dip in the pool

Personally, I'd prefer to go more south to Brittany, I prefer the sea when you go a bit more south. Having said that, if you're not too bothered, this looks good for a family. One thing worth visiting not far away is Nausicaá Aquarium in Boulogne-sur-Mer.

I agree, this area isn't particularly charming. Brittany or Normandy is much better.

It's an extra £24 to hire linen/towels for a double bed and £17 for each single bed.

Have to add at the last step of booking.

Go to your basket once added, and it's under the "travel" category. (edited)

5 star? Looks like a Haven caravan park

Eurocamps are better than Havens, and cheaper. (edited)

Stayed in the campsite overnight last year. It is nice but the pool isn’t as big as what it looks on the photo. The bar food was okay but there is a high quality restaurant onsite as well which we didn’t use.

Doubt queues would be bad in June when there's no holidays.

Website doesn’t work in the step 4, travel, I choose Ferries and there’s no button to continue! I’ve done this 3 times from 2 smart phones and a laptop but no luck, after putting Vehicle details it stuck at the ‘Your Crossing’ page

I stayed here last June for a week, it is nice but is a fairly basic park despite the five star rating. The bar/restaurant didn't open until 5pm and there isn't much to do on the site or in the local area, it's more of of a stopover/overnight site. Personally I would go to Normandy or Brittany and pay a bit more money for a week away. The local town is walkable but not particularly charming.

Really basic site and not much around. Far better heading slightly further afield . It was very much used as an overnight stop over site on the way to and from the port.
I believe Eurocamp are now doing £50 dover calais ferry crossing for april and may bookings.
Personally would never stay in a comfort caravan either as our last one was around 15 years old , damp and mouldy after having been closed up all winter.
