sorted bySeriously though, no doubt they've bumped the price up temporarily ready for a fresh Rollback price to close to the old £2.65 to stay within the law.
I don't shop there, but I will give Asda credit for the policy (some would say shamed into) of putting a lot of their basic range across the smaller stores. Tesco went the other way and rebranded a lot of their old Metro stores to Express in 2021, where they charge a convenience premium on a lot of their prices compared to the Tesco Extra and Tesco Metro stores (which I'm sure had nothing whatsoever to do with rebranding the stores, perish the thought!). I always feel a bit conned now every time I have to shop in the (previously Metro) store.
