Seems like a good price for a PWM fan with great static pressure. It also has dual ball bearings for continuous operation.

ARCTIC P12 PWM PST CO - 120 mm Case Fan, PWM Sharing Technology (PST), Pressure-optimised, Dual Ball Bearing for Continuous Operation, Computer, 200-1800 RPM

Optimised for Static Pressure
During the development of the new P12 PWM PST CO, special emphasis was placed on a focused airstream and thus a high static pressure. The fan ensures extremely efficient cooling, even with increased air resistance. Therefore, the P12 PWM PST CO is particularly suitable for use on heatsinks and radiators.

More Efficient Technology
The motor is powered by a Neodym-Iron-Boron-Magnet ring of the newest generation, which allows the new P12 PWM PST CO (0.96 W @ 1800 RPM) to run much more efficiently than its predecessors (F12 PWM PST CO: 2.88 W @ 1350 RPM). This saves energy and lowers the coil temperature without compromising the performance.

For Continuous Operation
The premium quality Japanese dual ball bearing allows continuous operation 24/7 without the slightest compromise in performance. Dust and high temperature are affecting this bearing a lot less than generic sleeve or one ball bearings and thus make it the perfect choice when reliability is essential.

200 to 1800 RPM regulated via PWM
With a wide range of regulation and the PWM Sharing Technology (PST), the P12 PWM PST CO fan speed can be controlled synchronously with all your other fans together. This keeps noise at a minimum while ensuring maximum cooling performance when needed.

Good fans. The resonance comes at around points like 1200 I think.

I keep them quite low (800 RPM max ). Though I use the P14 mostly(140mm). For that purpose they are really good and save a ton of cash. (edited)

I run my fans at around 900 so the resonance wouldn't be an issue... hmmm.

Not sure about your price history, I literally bought these from Amazon for £6.50 (Sold By ARCTIC GmbH) about a week ago.

The PST is neat on these, allowing you to daisy chain.

To fit, they use screws that you need to firmly screw into plastic holes on the fan that will create a thread as you do so - so requires a bit of elbow grease. These ones went in fine, but I also got the P8's and the screws would just not go in all the way and the head of the screw started shredding. I got in touch with ARCTIC and they are sending me a new bunch of screws, so their CS seems decent at least.

That one must have been the non-CO (continuous operation) version.

The max version is just 2 quid more and way better

What makes them better? Higher RPM isn't it.

Need a couple of these my ancient Antec P180 case fans are rattling like a pit of rattle snakes

Owners, do these experience the same annoying resonance/hum between 900 - 1200 RPM that the non-CO variant does?

They are quite loud not just humming but overall. I have headphones in most of the time so I'm fine with it.

    What's the difference?

I'm yet to see the humming noise people report about under high load. My PC is practically inaudible with these. Great fans

I haven't noticed the humm with these but they can be audible when ramping up. I have 2xP14 and 2xP12 daisy chained together and they are great, quiet when operating when at speed but can be annoying when they frequently go up and down. I suggest Fan Control software and tying the intake/exhaust fan speed to GPU temp. The PC is silent when I'm web browsing etc. But the GPU and CPU get the proper airflow when gaming.
These can be had for as low as £5 but you need to get the pack of 4. (edited)

I have 2 140s and 3 120s and they run quiet as anything, can't say I've experienced any hum or anything..
