It’s not great specs, VA panel with motion blur and not very sharp with text.

I was looking at this but there is big ghosting issue with this VA panel. Much better off going for a AOC IPS panel, costs the same

Very poor for the official Amazon seller not to specify this is a VA monitor. If they don’t say it, it’s VA not IPS.

VA and 165Hz are direct contradictions. VA is more like 30Hz for complete pixel transitions- great for TV content, lousy for gaming.

Sadly, the legal trick is the 165Hz refers to the rate of electrical signalling to the pixel transistor driver, NOT the ability of the pixel to respond. Of course, even IPS gets no where near 165Hz of full pixel transition either, but IPS is vastly faster than VA in this regard.

Please check Youtube videos on 'starfield' tests (white 'stars' on black background, black 'stars' on white) to see what VA does when such an image moves on your monitor.

For the money this is a decent monitor, if your in the market for a branded model at a budget price this ticks those boxes. While IPS does look better than a VA panel if your someone like me who quite frankly doesn't care, this is a bargain. Thanks OP bought for one for lad (who wont notice the difference at all)

Where are all these cheap 'high spec' VA panels actually useful? These 'gaming focused' screens make no sense.
