I have this monitor and my first that was delivered was broken and DOA. Not ideal but Samsung sorted it pretty quickly.

    Overall, my review would be:

    Negatives:
❎️ It's big and pretty heavy, whilst the stand is lightweight (not in a good way). It also takes up quite a lot of desk space if you don't mount it.
❎️ My monitor hisses and pops for the first 30 minutes of use. This is super common from my research and can be ignored but annoying on this level of spend.
❎️ 240hz and 1440p needs a really powerful GPU to hit. First world problems but true. Not an issue if you play older games granted.
❎️ It's still expensive even after discount compared to the 144hz 4k monitors out there.

    Postives:
✅️ The HDR is really good for a monitor (big plus)
✅️ Picture is generally sharp and high quality
✅️ Viewing angles better than expected
✅️ Built in speakers are quite meh but nice to have
✅️ Motion is really smooth without much menu tweaking

Overall? Solid 8/10 for me. Better build materials for the case would be a 9 (would likely stop the hiss and pop as it warms up) and the other minor negatives such as the 4k competition also slightly take the shine off this. (edited)

Ideal size for a monitor and not a fan of curved?

Is this a rebranded 1st gen G7 with streaming added? Specs look the same.
