Seems like a decent price. I had the M50A in the past and it was a great monitor, like a small smart tv that doubled as a monitor. Not sure how this one is different.

I’ve got two of these and they are great. I wouldn’t actually use it as a monitor but I use them as TVs in two bedrooms where only a 27 inch screen would fit. Pretty much the only option in the market. The speakers are actually ok too and a big bonus is one of the HDMis is ARC so you can hook up a soundbar. You can also use Atmos wirelessly with some Samsung soundbars! The filmmaker mode and turning off all the power saving options and it’s decent enough as matte. Has all smart features of the bigger TVs. It’s basically a good TV but a bad monitor unless it’s only for gaming. I use it with my consoles too. It certainly not my C242 or I had in the office or sky glass 43 in the bedroom at old house before but it’s doing the job

Why is this bad for a monitor (i. E. Office work) but good for gaming? I was thinking it would be the other way round so this puts me off getting it.

Can you just buy this and a fire stick or google equivalent of fire stick and use it as a smart monitor/tv?
I don’t have a computer and only need this as a spare to upstairs
    Alex_H's avatar
    Yes you could.

Looks hot. OK as a basic office work monitor? I WFH and want a bigger monitor. Just office apps and teams really. Web browsing. That's about it.
Or better used as a tv panel? (edited)

The text will look pretty bad on a 1080p 27".

You can't really complain at £89 though.

Saw this deal when it was around 20 minutes old. Deliberated, but now OOS.

I guess many of you are buying this as a smart TV rather than monitor?

I'm looking for a monitor, but some of the reviews seem to suggest text can be blurry? Also, another review says not to expect crystal clear picture, suggesting pixelation?

1080p for a 27" monitor seems stretching it, and the fact it's only 60hz.

But suppose it is only £89 and some may even get theirs delivered tomorrow?
    5696's avatar
What are you looking to use the monitor for? 1080p on a 27" isn't great imo and text won't be great on it, would be fine on a 24" though.

Not knocking this deal though it's a superb price.

You'll only really need above 60hz if you're gaming imo, if you're just using it for surfing/text 60hz would be fine.

Sorry, is it a TV or a PC monitor?
    cantonbean's avatar
It doesn’t have a TV tuner so it’s technically not a TV but I had sky glass hooked up to mine of sky go via a console and it has smart apps.

No cancellation email and still "On the way" on Samsung website but they asked DPD to send it back 😞49969142-z3a37.jpg

£90! Ideal for daughters bedroom. Cheers OP, the one review was terrible, but only 1 review available so not too concerned

Was looking at this a while back when it was on sale for £160. At £89 it's a no brainer. Thanks OP. (edited)

It's a superb deal no question, voted hot, but this is a very basic monitor not for gaming or the like.
Absolutely fine for a basic monitor and great value.

Order for kids room for their xbox one s. Thanks OP
  17. m_zafar's avatar
Received mine today (mega fast delivery). They will be used with the Xbox one S.

Initial impressions, they can handle rocket league and fifa 23 pretty well. Images are sharpe. I notice some slight fuzziness with some motion, however, it’s workable.

I got 6 delivered today thanks!

Saw the review, power button fell off and not cover by warranty… avoid 🥲
    naski666's avatar
But the Samsung comment was, will cover if not smashed off! Or words to the effect. (edited)

Fantastic monitor I use the 32" version
    naski666's avatar
Speaker ok on it? It's, for a kids room so doesn't have to be super high fidelity!
  21. sgodha's avatar
Great deal. Thanks OP. Bought one.

Samsung is not good with warranty. Not for me.
    cantonbean's avatar
No they are bloody awful but at least it’s cheap. Had a nightmare with my Frame 85 and now having a similar crap experience with cracking soundbar.
  26. Bunnster's avatar
Also 4% TCB and some Samsung/ Curve rewards???
  27. Bunnster's avatar
Ordered. TCB at 4%, plus discovered £7 of rewards in my Samsung pay account. So £82 paid. With TCB will be less than £79.
Just need to decide to upgrade work monitor 24" or 22" TV in the bedroom? :/

Can you use a Xbox game pass with this without owning an Xbox just buy the pass?
    cantonbean's avatar
Yes as it has the app built in. I’ve not tried it though as have an Xbox linked.
  35. Hermias's avatar
Ordered yesterday, and already delivered - excellent!

    Initial thoughts?
  36. User2821's avatar
Anyone know how to get this monitor to work with HiksVision CCTV. Connected a HDMI cable but it's saying not recognised. Was using a VGA lead on older monitor and it worked fine.
    JZY's avatar
If you can’t find a solution I know there are adapters (hdmi to vga) available online
  37. dwl99's avatar
    Darn, missed it
  38. far's avatar
Wonder if these are likely to come back in stock, would have been ideal for use as a TV
    far's avatar
I can answer that question as yes. However, its now full price and no voucher code is available. Very sneaky Samsung!
  39. FieldMarshal's avatar
I bought one and unfortunately it’s TOO BIG! I was sceptical about the size being 27 inches but assumed they were thin. These should be portable and thin but they are not! Disappointed. (edited)
