This remaster for Blu-ray is a great improvement over the DVD . Great show I remember watching it when it first aired in 1983!

Complete edition of the British television miniseries, a coming-of-age drama written by playwright Willy Russell and starring David Morrissey, in what was his first screen appearance. Billy (Morrissey) and Icky (Spencer Leigh) are two Liverpool teenagers. Sick of the unemployment, poverty and gang violence in their rundown city, the two boys decide to escape to a peaceful valley in Wales. However, they don't quite find the rural paradise they were expecting, and instead have to contend with the attentions of the sinister Kidder (James Hazeldine).

Really great show. My favourite moment was when the cop gave one of the boys an accidental shower.

My mood changes slightly when I think about how the cops have decided to give us all a deliberate shower.

OOS for bluray. Still plenty of DVD's available though. (edited)

Thanks will expire it I'd say wait and get the Blu-ray. I had it on DVD first, it's not a good transfer, especially on a big screen. The Blu-ray is very much improved
