    Not as good as either you mentioned imo but worth a watch some good humour in it. Maybe a bit dated though.

    Had great memories of this, soi bought it on itunes recently.......it hasn't aged well!

    Worth it for Windsor Davies though!

    It was great in its day.
    The casting? was brilliant, I can't think of anybody else who could have done better than Windsor, even Michael (almost a native) Bates was bang-on, at least according to MY SOH

    Jimmy Perry & David Croft were two of the finest comedy writers and as a family, we used to enjoy this.

    Not sure my kids would now but watching this with my grandparents who'd lived/fought in the war, they loved it.
