Each winter, billions of honeybees are prematurely woken from hibernation, trucked into California and exposed to a “soup” of bacteria, parasites and toxic pesticides -- so they can serve as pollinators for the fast-growing almond milk industry. They end up sick and exhausted, and many don't make it back.

I'm sure it's not pleasant, however a honeybee only lives for about 30 days in any event, so it's not like an individual honeybee would have glowing future prospects if there wasn't human exploitation

I think more concerning is California farmers continuing to cultivate these things when there's a long running severe drought in the state. Almonds require ridiculous amounts of water to grow - 1.1 gallon per single almond - so probably the worst choice

Any difference between these and the Lidl ones (200g for £1.69 which works out £11.83 for 7 packs)

And the same price in Aldi last time I looked

harvested in California's Central Valley, probably by the truck load and packaged in Europe.

Good deal, though for those who only want a small amount, in Aldi their Whole Almonds (200g) is £1.69 per pack or
£8.5 per kg, so only a little dearer.

do they sell these? I don't think so. They are selling their own brand.

Didn't try these ones, but the Brazil nuts of this brand is excellent.
