Until I saw this deal I was about to hit the button on this

    amazon.co.uk/dp/…h=1

Would anyone happen to know if one is clearly superior to the other?

The Huawei has a better spec, with WiFi 6+ rather than WiFi 6 on one you've linked, so should provide faster speeds and better coverage. As a crude rule of thumb for routers the bigger the number after the AX the better (so AX3000 on the Huawei > AX1500 on the D-link). Although there are other factors and features to consider of course.

In reality, it all depends how fast and how much coverage you actually need. Many homes would be covered just fine by switching a default ISP router for a £50 Eero 6, so unless you're running several servers in a mansion a lot of it is marketing really.

I got a TP Link Deco system yesterday for not much more,
I live in a stone cottage which rendered WiFi extenders useless, Mesh system gives excellent signal.

This Huawei set is equivalent to the next model up in the TP-Link range (Deco X50), which costs £283. (edited)

I have the Q2Pro setup. House has 4 floors and have tried several mesh systems. The Huawei was the only one that has remained stable.

Does not really give any more useful information other than the fact that they have been banned 🚫

Anyone have any real world experience of these? Super tempted at this price to replace a Nest WiFi set.

I swapped out the Deco M5's for these two weeks ago. Very easy to setup and are alot quicker for me. I use BT 900 Fibre.

Probably should be asking why Huawei kit is banned from core networks and being pulled out of data centres in the UK. Yeah you can probably save a few quid but those pesky ethics...
