Got these for our 4 bed detached house which was struggling with Virgin Media.

This helped massively and we have seamless internet far and wide.

    Highly recommended.

How have people who've been using this or a similar mesh system found speeds when their device is solely connected to 1 of the meshes (as its outwith the range of the modem router)?

I'm using a WiFi router in a mesh system and have found my device speeds dip down to about 60mbps when my main virign media router gives speeds of 250+ mbps.

I'm sure that's to be expected but just wondering.

Maybe your mesh set up only has 100 Mbps connectivity?

I got these a few months ago to replace a Netgear R8000 which wasn't quite reaching all of the house. Whilst the setup was smooth and the app was good, it just didn't hold a reliable fast connection and I had some issues with nodes going offline intermittently. I returned them. Maybe it's fixed with firmware updates but some were suggesting they really excelled with an ethernet backhaul.

this is the shortest can shape one. The M and E ranges are the taller ones.

Tempted by the s7, which is a tenner more.. Reading about using hue with it, does anyone have experience in using hue bridges with these? There's some stuff out there saying the Deco doesn't see the bridge.

Been got a hue bridge plugged into one and works absolutely fine.

Are these better than the BT wholehome premium? I upgraded from the standard discs when I had FTTP installed and they have been nothing but trouble. Constantly drop out or say connected without Internet. Can't move around the house without the connection dropping - really bad

These are reliable and easy to set up, but I'm not impressed by their range. Nor the range of the m5's (edited)

Regular price for this so voted cold. On top of that, they're pretty rubbish. Spend a bit extra

Why do you think they are rubbish? Just curious as I'm considering the S7...

Sorry I'm a complete noob when it comes to this stuff. I'm after more reliable WiFi coverage in the house (back of the house has it the worst), would this be what I would need to improve coverage? Is it worth starting buying a better router to see if that helps first?
