Can someone explain if this would work from a Vermin Media Hub 3 to an older working computer, even though we have the 350mb broadband? Cat 5 cable is what we have at the moment, what difference, if any, will a cat6 or a cat 7 make if i was to change it.

Cat 5 speed is only 100mb, and very old cable. Unless you meant Cat 5e, which it should be ok if your cable is less than 50 meters in length, so you should get 1gb as max speed and more than enough with your broadband. .

Ethernet cables will not make that difference as long as you run it less than 50 meters, and make sure you use pure copper cable, Cat 5e will be OK. But I think this cable is Cat 6 so it will do the job and it is good price.

Is this pure copper or CCA? Couldn't see any mention of of copper in the description so going to assume CCA.
