sorted by"Many espresso machines tend to lose pressure between the head and the pump, so to compensate for this, they start at 15 bar (more than necessary), but the actual pressure of the pump on the coffee is about 9. -bar. If the machine is set up correctly , the brewing pressure will be ideally around 9 bar, regardless of the pressure produced by the pump."
So, I would assume this is producing 9 bar and doesn't need to compensate for that loss. But the best pressure is a debated thing from what I can tell. I learned from a youtube video on an Aldi coffee machine (
