This is only 9 bar pressure. I thought coffee machines had to be 15 bar?

I found this statement on website about coffee machine pressure, not sure how true this is but might make sense why many machines state 15 bar.
"Many espresso machines tend to lose pressure between the head and the pump, so to compensate for this, they start at 15 bar (more than necessary), but the actual pressure of the pump on the coffee is about 9. -bar. If the machine is set up correctly , the brewing pressure will be ideally around 9 bar, regardless of the pressure produced by the pump."

So, I would assume this is producing 9 bar and doesn't need to compensate for that loss. But the best pressure is a debated thing from what I can tell. I learned from a youtube video on an Aldi coffee machine (
) that too much pressure can cause the coffee grounds to compress too much, making bad coffee as a result. But reviews for this Sage machine are generally very good, and my brother (who is a coffee nut) has the similar Sage Express with the same pressure and he loves his. (edited)

Cue the arguments about whether this is actually bean to cup.

Ive got one of these for just over a year, its brilliant. Feels well designed/solid. Its not really bean to cup though, the grinder is a separate funtion.

Unless you’re fixed on getting a black one I’d recommend the silver over this. The silver is just as prone to dents and scratches, but the black will chip off wherever and the silver is less noticeable. Silver every time. Speaking from experience as a friend has a black one and regrets getting that colour option.
